😂 Noob question yeah!, but thats what a dude asked me this evening, he's a newbie though, he joined crypto late January this year (2024), I wasnt the one who introduced crypto to him, but he approached me one time in February, and I assisted him on buying his first bitcoin, and since then, he's been investing on his own.

It's good that your newbie friend has some free time to make some research, and he's learning without the help of other people I believe. If you have some free time, guide and teach him even at least the basics.

Later on, I simply told him I don't know, that I can't predict the market, but then, I could notice he wasn't satisfied with that answer, he probably expected me to say "yes", as a way for him to reassure himself of his expections, but then again, I couldn't lie to him.

Why do you care about his reaction towards your answer? What matters most is the fact that you really don't know what can happen in the future. Don't give him assurance as it might hurt even more because he's expecting for a bull run to happen, and yet it didn't happen. It will be very disappointing for him if he's preparing for the bull run, but it didn't happen.

Just focus on the reality. Sometimes, truth hurts so what you did is just good. Don't lie to him and just say "yes" even you really don't know what can happen in the future. As for your answer, like what you said, we don't know as well, but basing on the history of the price of Bitcoin, price of it usually go up significantly after the halving event so it can happen, but not 100% sure that it will happen.

Maybe just say to him "I don't know, but based on history, Bitcoin's price goes up significantly after the halving event." Say to him that don't expect too much as well.

Honestly, I did not expected 56k levels to be seen, that was definitely a horrible sight to see at this point. However, we need to remember that all the other halvings had a drop after the halving as well. I consider that happens because al to of people bulk buy before the halving, so that they would be able to profit at halving ,and then sell afterwards. Considering how high we got up until this point (all the way to here from under 20k) that is something we can consider as a possibility. I believe that we just need to make sure that we are going to end up with a good result one way or another eventually like all others.

No, not never. I believe we would see 1 sat/vByte again, but it is going to take sometime to happen. If all the spammers causing this congestion go away and there are no new ones, then fees can fall as low as that again.

I think this is quite obvious that these type of "extra" stuff on bitcoin doesn't really help anyone at all.

It doesn't help us (people) who want to make p2p tx's. However try telling this to the spammers.

Another Naira speculator and manipulated is here on OKX- these are one of our problem and why OKX and other exchanges needs to moderate the Naira p2p from Marchants like this. This is outrageous, the current rate is still between N1250 -N1350 and this guy is already selling at N1500, this will no doubt push others to increase their rate to meet demand. OKX might be another target is this continues.... Na we be our own problem Las Las.
