Altcoin vs bitcoin?

I know I'll get some heat for saying this, but I'm going to support alts.

In the news, even the former CEO of Mt. Gox, says that he thinks bitcoin won't be as good as alts: http://fortune.com/2018/04/06/mt-gox-bitcoin-exchange-ceo-mark-karpeles/

He says that bitcoin continues to lag in technological improvements and innovation when compared to other coins using blockchain technology.

I'm not a superstar, I'm not a guru, I'm not a tech expert with a degree, so when a multimillion dollar crypto CEO says that bitcoin isn't as good as alts... I'll listen.

I've noticed first hand that bitcoin is really lagging behind when it comes to some alts. I mean, bitcoin spent almost a full year with high transaction fees and hours' long transaction times. Meanwhile, you had eth and ltc with like transaction fees that cost cents but took seconds to confirm.

Bitcoin hasn't even fully implemented LN, and it doesn't even have the capability to add tokens to it yet.

I feel like, alts will keep pumping out newer and better tech, and bitcoin will slowly adopt that tech at an exponentially slower rate. In the end, people will leave bitcoin in the dust.

There's even a whole regime that says that bitcoin should simply be a "value holder" for alts, an antiquated tech that only is around to give alts a monetary value. And so people will use bitcoin for storage or cold banking, and if they want versatility and everyday transactions, they'll sell some bitcoin for alts and use it that way.

That's a great idea. I think its a good comment made by Him. All we know is that btc is the mother of all coins and also all coins sometimes or however depends on this coin for its growth. Lets hope for he best for altcoin

bitcoin is the first coin that is created and altcoin is a coin coin that is created after the bitcoin is used as an alternative to the coin behind the high price of bitcoin because the price of altcoin in the market is cheaper

In order to exolt the favorite  coin there should have some words to rise against the first coin that most of the people looking for it. This would be a style to say where he's side on crypto. Bitcoin will be the all time high no matter what happen.

Bitcoin will always win the battle from how it start and until now, bitcoin's record is really amazing and there is no altcoins that have  this kind of success.

Let say bitcoin was founded at crypto so strong that no one can defeat. Altcoins is newly in crypto but the price canm move or jump too high. If I invested on that I will be rich instantly. While bitcoin price seems stagnant for now. So in this time altcoins is better than bitcoin but still depends on the price and class of the coins.

Bitcoin really has a lot of flaws and some of the money that is invested in it goes into altcoins. Even Ethereum is much more convenient than Bitcoin, due to the possibility of storing ERC-20 tokens, but there are other similar but not less interesting coins. Now they talk a lot about EOS, I think that, thanks to its characteristics, it will compete with Ethereum. Even Litecoin now occupies a leading position in terms of transaction volumes and it is significantly better than Bitcoin in terms of its characteristics.

Bitcoin is popular with its large community, which began its formation in 2009, and most altcoins can not boast of the same results. But lately there are more and more new altcoins that have fast growing communities that are rapidly developing and are able to advance their coins much faster than Bitcoin.

I can say that both of the are good. But when we talk about the veterance in crypto. I can say its bitcoin. But both of them are usefull and effective. Even me i use altcoin for some other work.

Thats a real in-depth info but you must not forget that all these altcoins had their source of inspiration from bitcoin. One important factor is that the development of altcoins were as a result of some flaws in the development of bitcoin so i don't see why this now sounds a whole new news. So we should not speak against bitcoin like some trash coin because in as much as it has flaws it is the king of the digital currencies whether you like it or not. BTC rules.

To be honest I started to support alts almost from the beginning. Bitcoin was a good learning curve , but now I switched to altcoins.

I think altcoin and bitcoin are the same, depending on who is wearing it, it's just bitcoin has the highest value among other coin
