Title: FIFA World Cup 2022: Hackers Selling Fake Hayya Cards
Post by: Zardbeig on November 29, 2022, 11:39:38 AM
As the FIFA World Cup is currently underway in Qatar, cyber-security researchers on Monday warned that threat actors are selling fake Hayya cards, which is essentially a permit document, to fans who are willing to pay any amount to get one.

To attend the FIFA World Cup, one needs to have a Hayya card which must be presented along with the original ticket in order to enter the stadium.
Sellers ask for $50-150 and payment is only accepted in Bitcoin.

"Given that Crypto.com is an official FIFA sponsor and Binance has partnered with Christiano Ronaldo to promote soccer-themed non-fungible tokens (NFTs), threat actors are piggy-backing on this hype to sell fake World Cup Coin' and 'World Cup Token' by promoting them as limited edition cryptocurrency" the researchers said.

I was already wondering why there's no scam around the World Cup. Have you heard of other scam coins to avoid them?

At such large-scale events, there are always scammers. Someone always wants to line their pockets at someone else's expense. Due to the fact that now there is a vast variety of cryptocurrencies, it is sometimes difficult to distinguish scam ones. It is best to check any cryptocurrencies you want to invest in.

Probably you're right. It's better to give some time for new coins and projects to check if it's going to develop further and how it will behave on the whole. Investing in a fresh coins is always like playing a russian roulette.

New crypto coins are emerging daily, it is important to thoroughly research a project and team before making an investment. For example, I keep looking into the Utopia p2p project and its Crypton (CRP) coin, I hope it may perform really well.

I see many mentions of this project on Twitter, seems that they're running many campaigns there. How much time do you already watch after it? Does it continue developing or like many other projects does nothing?

It seems to me that these guys are stubbornly developing. This coin is really stable and most importantly, it is a privacy coin. I heard that this coin is already available in 1800+ online stores.

Nice to hear that as during the last times I hadn't heard of anything new and promising. And privacy coins are really the ones that are ruling the crypto market now.

It's a pity that not everyone understands this. Some are simply afraid to use privacy coins. It is high time for people to understand that there is nothing more reliable than privacy coins. After all, if you use them, then no one can take away your money.

On the eve of the new year, I don’t want to think about investments and study something special. This week you can definitely relax. Now, as usual, the dollar will grow, and then the crypt will catch up

Of course, right before the new year, no one cares about investments. The dollar has really risen. Of course, we all hope that the cryptocurrency will also grow. Well, let's hope for the best :)

That's for sure, I just want some kind of calm :) Everyone is already tired of this. It would be better if all this ended, and we lived in peace.

And I started the day again with a check of the exchange rate and it is still 0.6 ... I remember the times when Crypton soared sharply to the dollar) In the meantime, we just have to wait. A miracle can happen.

Patience is key in the crypto world, and you never know when a coin like Crypton will have its moment to shine again. In the meantime, it's important to keep an eye on the market and stay informed about new developments. Who knows, maybe a new partnership or announcement is just around the corner that could lead to a surge in value.
