According to circulating articles, Mr. Putin said he was being anticipatory in his actions and thus trying to save Russia from her perceived enemies. Well, that is not my concern
HaHa.."Well, that is not my concern" I agree.

Yes, we are now officially in the beat territory and there is no sight as to when this can be ending as the global economy lead by USA has the risk of falling into recession. The crypto industry is on the cleansing stage...those platforms especially DeFi that are not really performing well and was good in hiding their tracks are now slowly exposed and if they are not really fit they should go and be deleted from the face of the Earth. We have to be careful with what we are supporting with...as it would be so hard to determine a bad project from a good one...better go for those that have already proven a consistent history of value building.
I can't seem to agree more. These times of bear market, just go with the already well-established crypto projects in the market but because some people are still hooked on the get rich quick syndrom, you will find them investing in projects that might eventually die off the market if this bear season drags on for long which might. However, how much down the market will go is uncertain though from these chat, it doesn't seem like much but maybe we might start seeing some sideways movement before a retrace upward again.

We will see the bad news and good news as long as crypto  exist.
It's not problem for us.
At the past we  heard the news that f Russia will accept bitcoin , but for now there is another gossip.
I don't care
The fact that Russia would use bitcoin to circumvent international sanctions when receiving payment for the supply of its oil and gas was indeed gossip that was immediately refuted by their central bank. But in this case, if Putin really signed the law already adopted by the State Duma of Russia, then this is no longer gossip. Moreover, Russia has always adhered to the position of prohibiting the use of cryptocurrency as a means of payment. To change this position, Russia must first introduce changes to the Constitution, which states that the only means of payment is the ruble.

But all this will have some sort of make a move reasons for Russia.

Staying optimistic, The market will bounce back and gain new better momentum and growth.

That's sound a bit upsetting but I also believe that the ban shall be lifted off as the future is Definity going to be digital regardless.

Cryptocurrency discussions / Re: Do we Need Altcoin?
« on: July 15, 2022, 05:32:43 AM »
“Altcoins” are cryptocurrencies that exist in addition to Bitcoin. They have certain qualities in common with Bitcoin, but they are also distinct from it in other respects.

Like :
1. They share similar methods to either Bitcoin or other popular currencies like Ethereum or Cardano’s ADA. Altcoins also aspire to become bigger than bitcoin by becoming a more affordable way for digital transactions.
2. Altcoins are designed to overcome Bitcoin’s perceived restrictions in order to gain a competitive edge. Many cryptocurrencies, including Bitcoin and Ethereum, employ the Proof-of-Stake.
3. Altcoins have built a market for themselves by establishing a clear distinction between themselves and the Bitcoin currency.

In short, Any alternate crypto to Bitcoin is called an altcoin. Cryptocurrencies known as altcoins make use of a technology known as “blockchain,” which enables the transmission of secure peer-to-peer transactions. Building on the popularity of Bitcoin, they tweak the regulations a little to appeal to a wider range of customers.

Few alt coins that are good to keep watch:
Aave, Compound, Ripple and ADA are examples of altcoins.

You can trace these trends back to 2017. Bitcoin rose to new heights with FOMO and increased adoption rates being the driving factors. But after touching new heights in 2017, it settled down and slid to low levels. Though nothing similar can be claimed for this rally, speculations are there that the patterns will repeat.

Whatever might be the trends going forward, one thing to note is: Bitcoin has always pulled through and made new benchmarks after hitting low levels in the past.

General Discussion / Re: Gold or Cryptocurrency ?
« on: July 12, 2022, 06:53:11 AM »
If Bitcoin can slowly enter the gold market and occupy that place. Then people will believe in bitcoin more than gold. And in all the countries where bitcoin is not legal, they will gradually invest in bitcoin from gold. If JP Morgan's words are true.

First and foremost BTC shall never take over Gold it shall always remain as a hedging asset Gold might not give return as BTC but it shall always be Investors favorite asset for against any other asset. JP morgan has gone wrong many time a simple example is 2008 housing market, they never saw what was happening in there backyard how would they know about a engineering based space after all BTC is threat for Banks a lot more than for Governments.
