Re: Do you still believe in old coins?
Whenever I can't decide which coin I will invest my money with, old coins or what I call as "established" coins are my go-to coins.

For me, I'm mostly a conservative type of investor that's why I always put most of my money in old coins. Old or established coins for me has a lesser risk although the rewards are lower as well but having a lower reward would be better for me than investing into a new project that has a high chance for it to be a scam coin.

I know some here has a huge allocation towards high market cap coins as well and that would be better as it lessens our risk in our investment. On the other hand, as long as you're ok just in case you lose your money towards investing into new coins then I guess putting some of our money into them is also good as well but don't go all in on them.

CEO Coinify

Bitcoin Forum / Re: Exactly when will Bitcoin halve
« Last post by Charles-Tim on Today at 10:04:02 AM »
Bitcoin halving is just less than two days to occur. Block 839741 was just mined some minutes ago. It is getting closer to block 839999/840000.

Even though miners will sell their bitcoin in large amounts and cause the price of bitcoin to collapse, I think big investors will take advantage of that moment by buying bitcoin in large amounts and then manipulating the market so that the price of bitcoin rises again. I think that's what will happen
What makes you think that miners will sell their bitcoin? What if many miners are holding their coins as the mining reward has become lower after halving which can trigger another bull run.

Suggestion Box / Re: Mixers Board

we'll never know. hope Theymos is safe.
the government will always have the grip on someone with huge influence. twitter is just social media platform but the government tried to use twitter to censor those who speaks though.

if altcoinstalk admin isn't from US then i guess he is a safer. can't remember where the document that i have seen before which the government was already looking into BTT. they mentioned the forum and the tornado cash in that document so maybe they are monitoring the activity.
Bitcointalk should not be an arm of the US government. If there are restrictions by a government, then you don't do business in that country.
Just imagine what Bitcointalk would look like if it were to adapt to Chinese laws and censorship, of course, it would move to some friendlier territory.

Bitcoin Forum / Re: Bitcoin price speculation and analysis Thread
« Last post by Charles-Tim on Today at 09:57:37 AM »
This is a nice thread. But I will not be surprised that the aim can not be achieved if it is about other people not to open their own bitcoin about price speculation thread. But the aim of continuing discussing about bitcoin price speculation on this thread can be achieved. I mean just like it is on Bitcointalk. As there is wall observer thread for bitcoin, other people are still having new bitcoin speculation threads which is although not the same but having the same or similar replies.

Yeah I have the same feelings. The action by Hong Kong could be partly the attitude of China. China will do what it needs for the economy. Because of the characteristics of Hong Kong, it could be a good place to test the water and also release the signal for investors from China. Overall it will contribute to the crypto markets
If the bull run continues, then why has the price of Bitcoin on the market shown an extraordinary decline recently? Shouldn't the price of bitcoin rise again and surprise many people again? I don't think Hong Kong will have any influence on China and will remain with its stance of not caring about any type of cryptocurrency, including Bitcoin.

After Man City and Arsenal were eliminated from the Champions League, I don't think Liverpool should continue their quest for a Europa League title. They cannot afford to compete in both leagues now. Since they are already 3 goals down, Klopp might as well use his second squad and preserve all key players for the Premier League.

After reading about our foreign reserves a few days ago, I am convinced that the government is burning them to support the naira, just as they are surreptitiously paying fuel subsidies. It is extremely dangerous to burn through the country's foreign reserves in order to keep the Naira stable. The CNB had everyone fooled and was praised for doing nothing but preparing the Naira for a massive future drop. They are working so hard to keep to defend the failed currency floating.
Cardoso said yesterday that the depleted foreign reserves is as a result of dept repayment.

The Central Bank governor, Olayemi Cardoso, has said the recent depletion of the nation’s foreign reserves was used to settle debts owed to international creditors and not to defend the naira as widely claimed.

But we do not know if it is true or not. It might even just be partially true, which means partially false.

Such amount is to huge even greater than US SEC fines lmao, worst is there's no specific details why fined on such amount.
It was a rumour as a result of misinformation from BBC. The case is still in court and nothing like fine yet.

Basic Questions about Cryptos / Re: Stake, earn and mining?
« Last post by examplens on Today at 09:50:06 AM »
If you say $1000 will only earn $1 a week then that's APY income so it's obviously small if you only rely on the profit from APY let alone that per year is relatively small if it's in ETH.
This is quite realistic. $1 per week is $52 per year, which is about 5.2% APY (on a $1000 investment). In some cases, up to 8% or a max of 10% can be found, anything over is high risk and quite unrealistic.
30% or more (annually) mostly leads to fraud. I hope it is pointless to talk about such percentages on a daily basis as a serious option.
