You want to withdraw/ make a transaction with Tether USDT, what are fess now?

Everyone knows ERC20 transfers are expensive, but how exactly expensive, and what is the best alternative? This page was built so I don't need to jump over Metamask Networks to estimate gas fees in different networks for a simple USDT transfer.

What about BUSD and USDC?
Other stablecoins gas fees are very similar across the same blockchains, so you can safely assume that BUSD(BEP20) transfer on BSC blockchain will cost the same as USDT(BEP20) transfer on the same BSC blockchain.

Quick observations
As of Aug 2022, all blockchains except native ETH (Ethereum) are pretty stable in terms of fees during the day. But Ethereum USDT transfer gas fee is very volatile: it fluctuates from 0.5 USD to 7 USD! And Polygon is the cheapest network to transfer USDT.

@tranthidung thanks for this valuable informations, ETH fees will never disappoint always topping but most time in the fees intervals Tron and ETH fees price are not differences are not that much. But around 2023-12-30 16:00 the price differences are much.

Base on the intervals recently the fees have dropped. And polygon and BSC  are just nice mostly polygon, please what normally causes the rises and drops  of the fees?

Usually, it can apply for all blockchains but there are some exceptions as blokchains can have different user populations so they will have different active time.

USDT is the best on how its keep the peg and less volatility than other stable coins but you can not trust them. I never recommend to store your fund in stable coin exclusively Tether USDT. It's risky.

USDT is available on many blockchains and you can choose a chain that provides cheapest transaction fee to use at each time point.

Sometimes, with smart contract interactions like swapping, you will have cheaper transaction fee with another stable coin USDC.

Make sure you check different pairs, different chains before picking one for withdrawal from a centralized exchange or for swapping on DEX.

 Like the fact that you are putting up this information here. This could be of help to forum members who are very much curious about gas fee. Although gas or transaction fees varies by network and by exchange. Some are higher than the other depending on how congested the network chain is.

I mostly prefer using trx when ever there is network congestion on other chains and that solves my transaction fee problem most times.

Not only that, timing is of importance too as I already see most people commenting with respect to that. I as well observe that too when ever I engage in transaction at that time of the day and week days as transaction fees are mostly low at night based on my observation and experience.

This is obviously very helpful to see the fees required to transfer USDT from various networks, but I am not worried if USDT is on another network except Ethereum, which sometimes goes up/down.

Your post shows 0.76 USD for transfer but after checking 10,762 USD is probably up now.

If I'm not mistaken, a week ago I wanted to send USDT from the ETH network. I didn't know the exact fee required even though I had checked it on metamask, but this might help the range for USDT transfers on the ETH network a little.

Weekends will give you best transaction fee. Best means cheaper or cheapest as I shared in that post.

It is true for Bitcoin as well.  You can discover it with the mempool chart. Hover the mouse to weekend days and you will see mempools usually drop, fee rates usually are lower/ cheaper.

In this case I avoid the polygon network for rush transactions to an exchange. Because based on my experience, this network requires a minimum of 800 confirmations before we can withdraw the assets that have arrived if sent from the wallet to the exchange or between exchanges. the delivery process is indeed fast. But I am always impatient in waiting for the confirmation process which must reach 800 confirmations. Correct me if I'm wrong. But what I remember is about that. And now I might try on the BSC network which still looks cheap compared to others besides Polygon.

What exactly is wrong about confirmations? Right from time "double spending" has been problem in a transaction, like for instance in bitcoin transaction back then, you can send a bitcoin to one person and when it has not been comfirmed, you can send the same bitcoin to another person to doubt spend but I think mempool nodes has disallowed that but even with that, exchanges want you to have atleast 3/3 confirmation before you can fully own a coin to your wallet.

Polygon/Matic is the same thing, some exchange want you to have that before you own that coin in your wallet and it is fast. Under a minute or max 3 minutes, you will have your comfirmation complete and used your coin and if you are using a personal wallet to another wallet, what you need is only 7 comfirmation which is under a minute as well. So interms of transactions fee and speed, Polygon/Matic win for now.
