CMC is JUNK and Anti Privacy!

CoinMarketCap is owned by Binance and I always knew they are not going to be honest, but look what they are doing now with privacy coins!
They made ICP or Internet Computer as number one privacy coin that has nothing to do with privacy at all, and it is ranked above Monero now.
Even worse, they added WLD Worldcoin ranked at fifth place and they literally scanned eyeballs of people around the world for this crap 
I am not sure if they are doing this on purpose or by mistake, but if you are still using CMC it's time to stop and switch to CoinGecko or some other alternative.

I didn't expect CMC to fall this low.

In addition, when i checked ICP website (which mentioned by CMC), the homepage doesn't even mention privacy or anonymity.

You made curious and did further research. According to https://internetcomputer.org/internet-identity, their privacy comes from providing unique key for each service we use. But we could achieve similar things by using different email address for each service. As for their passkey, there are some traditional software and hardware which offer same thing.

Exactly, promoting this service as a privacy service shows that CMC does not pay much attention to the description of the service. Such services can claim to be AI or DeFi if it means more profits for them.

I really wonder what are those people working for CMC and CZ even doing?
If I go and create some crap coin, send them to list it on their website and I tell them to make it a top privacy coin, I guess I have to also ask them how much I have to pay them for doing that

Without competition, nothing will change. They have been in the lead for years and have been sold to Binance, which will try to use them to achieve maximum profits. Perhaps the best way to improve CMC is to stop using it.

Competition exist, but CMC is simply too popular. In terms of features, IMO only CoinGeko could compete with CMC. I also don't expect CMC will be improved unless Binance itself is changed or Binance suddenly let CMC go.

I don't use CMC junk for years and I don't miss it at all.
CoinGecko is way better, have more accurate information, and most important thing - it is not owned by Binance or any other exchange.
So there is competition obviously, and Coingecko is not the only website with similar purpose.

I am also using Coingecko which offers most of what CMC is into. I am into actually aware of these issues until I read this thread but I already read some complaints for various grounds before but I just ignore them since no platform can really be perfect. What is clear is that CMC got the bulk of the market in terns of traffic and being a pioneer on its field it built a reputation of its own to be trustworthy and diligent...and I am sad to see that it is making some big mistakes and it is not keen on correcting them. Mayne people working on them are not really that experts and professionals to allow this slip to come up on the platform.

I just found out that CoinMarketCap is now asking from exchanges to pay $50,000 for listing on their website 
There was always rumors about them asking money for faster listing but this amount is crazy for any new and smaller exchanges.

Is this an indication of manipulation from Coinmarketcap? Or is there a system error that occurred in the coinmarketcap database? I just saw a case like this and it also seems like there is a big problem with Coinmarketcap.

No I didn't said that.
Read carefully what was written, I said that one exchange is claiming that CMC team didn't want to list them until they pay them $50k.
I don't know if they are charging anything for listing new altcoins and tokens and i don't care about that.

It looks like CMC is no longer doing its due diligence correctly, and not sure if it's just me, CMC is slow nowadays compared to pre-Binance.

I can't compare about the speed, but I do agree that when they were acquired, something doesn't seems right with CMC as it used to be. Actually I haven't used them for years, I go to coingecko to check everything that is related to the price and others metrics that I wanted to look to. But recently I go back to cmc just to get a feel, specially when the price hits all time high. So I can't remember pre-Binance speed but I do notice lots of ads and that could slow it down a bit.
