I do not think that there is a way to use USDT via BTCPay Server other than L-USDT so this is good news and confirms support for open source software for free, but $100,000 will not change much.

That's true, this fact also mentioned on their news.

so this is good news and confirms support for open source software for free, but $100,000 will not change much.

It's better than nothing since many company never contribute on open source software and even accused for leeching. Here's an example, https://www.securityweek.com/apache-foundation-calls-out-open-source-leechers/.

but $100,000 will not change much.
How can you be so sure about it? Is there any public report about how much they need to develop the software? I think I'd prefer support from big companies to be small compared to their overall funds to avoid a clash of interests, especially from a controversial company like Tether. But I do agree that any donation is welcome regardless of where it comes from, especially if there's no string attached and the developer can be open about it.

It's better than nothing since many company never contribute on open source software and even accused for leeching.
I remember reading somewhere that if you use open-source software, you have to either give back to the community by developing it further or donate it if you want to keep being ethical when you use it.
