Title: SBF Is Finally Arrested, To Face Criminal Charges
Post by: TomPluz on December 13, 2022, 03:11:09 AM

I am not sure if this can be a good source of rejoicing for me but there is a big news that Sam Bankman Fried has finally been arrested  (https://www.nytimes.com/2022/12/12/business/ftx-sam-bankman-fried-bahamas.html)in the Bahamas after the indictment for him in the USA and can soon be extradited to face many criminal charges related to his time in his own FTX empire. The hands of the law has been moving slowly in this case but nevertheless it is moving, anyway. I am looking forward that he will eventually be serving time and that important details of the FTX mismanagement and abuses can be exposed in the court.

Good luck to Sam...and his popular and expensive lawyer...am sure that his team will be making all they can to picture Sam to be the victim and not the perpetrator of many bad developments in FTX.

The sharp fall of the FTX exchange dealt a very strong blow to the cryptocurrency market. Some analysts argue that because of this, the crypto winter may drag on until the end of next year. And this means a further drop in prices, the exit from the market of many potential projects and a drop in demand for cryptocurrency. In addition, individual officials and government agencies declare the need to strengthen the regulation of cryptocurrency in order to protect their citizens from abuse in this area.
Therefore, this case should be thoroughly investigated and the perpetrators should be severely punished.

I think Sam Bankman is innocent, but if he is guilty, he will show. I didn't go into details because I didn't invest in FTX. What happens next, the investigation will show. It is not surprising that this is happening, someone should be responsible for this, because investors' money is at stake. Drop the price like this, no one will be happy. This is exactly what happened to Luna.

I wonder why they couldn't wait 2 days to see him testify in congress... or was it maybe a trap to lure him out of Bahamas??

All of this started from the lack of liquidity of Alameda Research, a lot of FTT tokens were sold and the amount of liquidity was not sufficient for the sale, the question is where is the money they collected in Alameda research, so that the liquidity was not sufficient.

As for me, whether it started from the lack of liquidity of Alameda Research or other reasons, Sam Bankman Fried is a fraud star and should be in jail to serve as a lesson to others who may be found on the same act in the future. I can only feel for those who had lost their life time earning through the FTX collapse.

Although the adoption of NFTs in the gaming world comes with benefits, it also presents significant obstacles to overcome. Most notably, NFTs need to be made more appealing and intuitive to mainstream consumers who might not be technically oriented. And because NFTs possess intrinsic value, there's a risk that some will be used predominantly as speculative assets. This potentiality could motivate players to purchase in-game assets with the hope of selling them for future profit instead of using the assets within the gaming ecosystem as intended.
