As someone who likes cats I check out all Cat meme projects I come across that's how I found Catamoto. We all know that memes just thrive on hype but this one has a pretty nice foundation as a DEFI community driving launchpad project.

Still, while the project is quite promising I'm still quite skeptical since it's still a meme coin lol. If there's anyone with better knowledge about the project please tell me if it's a nice investment, thanks.

Memecoins has been known to not have utilities. But you mentioned here that CATAMOTO has Defi features. Can you be specific, is it swaps, launchpads etc, and tell us more about this memecoin. How's the community, what are their plans. Is this the meme ticker

Crypto Exchanges / Re: CEX vs DEX: The neverending discussion
« on: May 16, 2024, 11:38:28 PM »
When people ask the usual CEX vs DEX question and I pick CEX they often talk smack about my answer saying they will pick DEXs anytime cause they prefer having complete control over their assets. It's a very valid reason but the steady influx of events on CEXs is enough for me to pick CEX, call me a brokie but that's just what I need hahaha.

An example now is one deposit event on Bitget I just saw. I won't be saying much about it but it has a million dollars of trading bonuses and BTC as its reward. Why will I choose DEXs over CEXs in that case? Besides, I don't even have enough assets to be worried about hahaha. What do you guys think though, weighing what both offer which will you choose, CEXs or DEXs?

I don't think I can pick one over the other. Both cex & dex have a role to play in the crypto space. If you want more flexibility and more risk then dex is for you. But if you crave security, control and low risk assets then cex is for you. Another perks is the rewards you mentioned on a cex. $1M is huge I'm sure no dex could roll out that kinda stuff for deposits. All in all, they both serve same purpose, so let's use them wisely..

Hey there, fellow traders! Have you noticed how crypto exchanges are always trying to outdo each other in attracting new users and boosting trading activity?  Well, one of their favorite tactics is these crypto trading competitions. It's a win-win really. They get more people trading, which means more fees for them, and we get a shot at some sweet prizes. I've been in a few myself, and it's a fun way to test the waters and maybe even snag some extra crypto.

So, anyone here ever thrown down in a trading competition? What was your experience like? Any wild wins or epic fails to share?

My experience has been bittersweet, to be honest. I think last year I got into KCGI(,hosted on Bitget), but my technical analysis wasn't the best. However, I loved the experience - trading under pressure, networking with traders, etc. I've been in other tournaments since then and made some decent gains too. I'll be looking to get into more this year and improve my performance.

Crypto Exchanges / How does exchange referral bonuses work?
« on: May 11, 2024, 05:39:09 PM »
It's a cold Saturday in my part of the world, with BTC ranging around $60k. The market seems indecisive at the moment, but that's not why I'm here. A friend asked me how exchange referral bonuses work, what percentage is earned per referral, and other details involved. Since I have no idea, I decided to bring it here for experienced altcoin talkers to share their insights.

NotCoin Listing 18 Exchange Confirmed
1. Binance  2. Bybit
3. Kucoin    4. Bitget
5. Gate io    6. Bitmart
7. Bitfinex   8. Lbank
9. Mexc      10. Okx
11. Htx       12. Poloniex
13. Bitrue   14. Coinone
15. Coinstore 16. Cryptocom
17. Tokocrypto 18. Pintu

NOT Coin has confirmed listing on 18 exchanges. They have promised to list so many exchanges together that it looks like NOT Coin will catch fire on the 16th. Now it's time to wait and see how the fire takes place on the 16th.

More liquidity for NOT. I'll get some on Bitget's pre market though and sell 50% upon listing cos rn price looks cheap..

User engagement plays a pivotal role in the ever-evolving world of cryptocurrencies. With data from "SImilarweb", ICO Analytics was able to shed light on the shifting preferences of crypto enthusiasts across various platforms in April 2024.

After going through it, here are the key takeaways in my opinion. Binance, despite being the leader with 75 million visits, faced a -26% decline from March while Coinbase and BYBIT both experienced a significant drop of -31% and -21% respectively.

The biggest gain was experienced by Bitget, with an impressive +11% growth increase in web traffic in contrast to the negative trend, while the steepest decliner was KUCOIN with -39%, highlighting the volatile nature of user trust.

As exchanges adapt and enhance security, attracting and retaining users remains a challenge.

What is causing this significant decline though?

Lots of factors causes decline probably users loss of confidence in the platform, lack of quality service, non compliance with regulations & transparency or the general crypto market trend. All the same the cex that gained an increase in web traffic needs to be commended. My idea is they're doing something right..

Bitcoin Forum / Re: Has the bear market started?
« on: May 04, 2024, 07:43:14 AM »
Bitcoin price touched $65k to $56k in just two days. Bitcoin price is in full bearish current position, maybe we are going to reach bull run very soon. Do you think we are headed for a bitcoin bull market or a bear market?

No buddy. This is very healthy imo. BTC is around 61k today. But I'll like to see it at 53k before going all in..

Crypto gaming (GameFi) / Re: What's in your GameFi portfolio bag?
« on: May 02, 2024, 08:03:09 AM »
Hello everyone, I wanted to share my experience. Earlier this year, I added BigTime, Portal, and Sand to my GameFi bag. However, when I recently checked, they had retraced significantly despite reaching higher highs three months ago. This led me to believe that this might be my last chance to accumulate before the next bullish run begins.

I've been doing some research and found a few interesting projects like Undeeds Games (an MMORPG game built on the Eth chain with NFT integration). But I'd love to hear more suggestions from you all! What GameFi projects are you looking at? Let's discuss!
Unfortunately, I am not a pro gamer and I do not spend much time following the development of new games. I am only interested in the GameFi trend and the opportunity to make profit from projects in this trend. I know IMX, AXS, RON, SAND, ILV, PIXEL tokens and I think that IMX + RON + PIXEL will be the most promising tokens in the GameFi trend because they have a vibrant ecosystem and investor attention. I hope that when the GameFi trend returns in this bullrun, we will see their success similar to what AXS achieved in the bullrun 2021.

Thanks I hold pixel too, but I'll check others out. Yeah I'm hoping that. Can you tell me what you think about undeeds as an experienced person here., saw their token UDS on PoolX. And I'm consdering mining it.

Other Popular Cryptos / Coins / Is Blockchain trilemma unsolvable?
« on: April 27, 2024, 06:32:47 PM »
Can we finally overcome the Blockchain trilemma? This long-standing challenge - balancing security, scalability, and decentralization - has been a major hurdle for blockchain technology. Despite numerous projects claiming to solve it. Solana, avax, Bitkub chain, etc. the issue persists. Ethereum's recent Denali/ upgrade, for instance, focused on scalability, and gas fees improvements. As blockchain technology evolves, will we eventually resolve the trilemma, or will it remain an ongoing challenge?

Hey altcointalkers, what's good?

I'm a newbie trader who recently came across a futures trading challenge. To qualify for the rewards, you need to meet some requirements. As I've never done something like this before, I'd love to get tips and tricks from experienced traders who have participated in a trading challenge. Would be glad to hear your response.
Because you are a novice trader, I wouldn't recommend joining the futures trading challenge if you are unable to generate a profit. Trading challenges include several criteria, but I'm confident that winning trades is one of them. So, if you can make profit, especially if you are consistently winning trades, the challenge is good for you. The participants in the trading challenge came from many countries, and I believe they are quite profitable. So you should consider carefully about whether or not you should participate in the trading challenge.

Thanks. What book would you suggest for my development?

This is a really good advise. Will focus more on my skills improve. But I should share it here. Maybe more experienced traders could benefit..(Google search Trade to win the LV bag, Rolex andTesla model S) to know more..
First of all, my advice for all traders is to hone their trading skills and emotional management.

Regarding the trading competition, you may be referring to Bitget's event. As I can see, the competition's requirements are not related to profit but only to trading volume in Future trading, typically millions of USDT. I do not participate in Future trading and do not know specifically how to calculate trading volume on Bitget. Can we use 1000 USDT and leverage x100 to get a volume of 100K USD? I hope that participants in this competition and other Bitget users will provide more information.

I don't know if you are a new trader, but if you are, do your research and be careful with future trading.

Trading volume is usually calculate using PNL and starting with 1k usd could be a good idea but still depends on your trading skills to rack up more profit than loss to hit the targeted trading volume. My focus here is the minimal $50 Sol reward for the 2m usd trading volume cos that's feasible for me right now.

MrSpasybo here's a proper explanation of the Bitget's challenge. It's based on transaction volume as max cryptic explained. Min is 2m USD trading vol. This should be a motivator for me to sharpen my skills.. cant wait to show y'all my progress.

Just as we have seen happen within different ecosystems in past bullish cycles, I believe we are finally witnessing the emergence of the next phase of development within the memecoin industry. Like it happened with GameFi starting to introduce NFTs, and DeFi doing something similar, many meme projects are now introducing innovative adjustments and enhancements that enable them to offer services across various industries, transcending their initial role as mere amusement-themed tokens.

As of late, we have observed a surge in meme projects embracing new initiatives that grant them a certain degree of utility. For instance, CatGPT ($catgpt) has incorporated AI technology, enabling them to create a functional AI chatbot, while Calcium ($CAL) seamlessly integrates both meme culture and DeFi technology.

Personally, I find this progression highly favorable, as it signifies the gateway to a new era where virtually every crypto project strives to provide some form of utility, no matter how modest it may be.

Memecoins are memecoins, no matter the utilities etc, we just need to be careful but earlier entries could be rewarding. So DYOR. For catgpt, couldn't find much about it on Google except this. Is this correct?
