Now the war in Ukraine has entered a very interesting phase. After another military defeat in the south of Ukraine, when the Russian occupation troops had to flee from the right-bank part of the Kherson region, including from the only regional city of Kherson captured in the first days of the war, the Russians are morally depressed and have no incentive to fight further.
Mobilization in Russia and the appearance at the front of untrained and poorly equipped soldiers led to heavy losses on their part. Throughout November, the occupiers lost from 350 to 950 of their soldiers every day. According to the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Russia has already lost more than 85,000 people by those killed alone. According to the Kremlin, which has not been made public, the deadweight losses, that is, Russian soldiers killed and missing, as of November 13, number about 111,000 people. Now the pressure of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the Russian army continues. Soon Ukraine will be able to return the entire south of the country and get closer to the Crimean peninsula, occupied since 2014. There, the Crimean Bridge has already been successfully damaged and crushing losses have been inflicted on the Russian Black Sea Fleet in the bay of Sevastopol. Ukraine, which does not have its own fleet, successfully uses drones for attacks, including surface drones of its own production, in front of which the Russian navy turned out to be practically powerless.
But in response, Russia attacks Ukraine with cruise missiles on the civilian infrastructure of settlements, while trying to deprive people of heat, light and water before winter, having already fired over 4,700 high-powered cruise missiles at civilians in Ukraine. This is a typical terrorist country that can only fight civilians, since from a military point of view, such shelling of peaceful cities does not give anything. Reckoning only on terror and intimidation of the population of Ukraine. Because of this, Russia will have to pay large amounts of payments to Ukraine.
