Stablecoin issuer Circle has launched a native USDC token on Polygon. In fact, Circle has announced that it has started minting USDC coins on the Ethereum layer-2 scaling protocol Polygon. Stablecoin programming interfaces (APIs) for USDC users and developers from Ethereum to any other blockchain now support Polygon-based USDC, taking advantage of Polygon's scaling capabilities. Traders and developers will be able to build decentralised applications with USDC on Polygon according to Circle. With this, Circle has launched the USDC token to enable instant low-fee transactions for various uses including payments, remittances, trade, borrowing and lending.
