Title: As A Bounty Hunter - Which System Of Payment Do You Prefer, Stakes Or Fixed Amount?
Post by: PRIBO247 on December 17, 2018, 03:09:14 PM
THE STAKES SYSTEM OF PAYMENT IN A BOUNTY
Stakes are a means of measurement. It is used to allot weekly payment to a bounty hunter according to his/her status/followers on social media. For instance, let's say Company A is releasing token B and there are 8 people in their bounty campaign. They have allocated 1million tokens for this. E.g
Facebook/Twitter Campaign
200 - 1000 friends/followers = 1stake per week
1001 - 2,500 friends/followers = 4stakes per week and so on.
Lets say person 1 has 1300 stakes, person 2 has 500 stakes and
the rest of the people combined have 4000 stakes.
Then the total would be 5800 stakes and will be thus calculated,
(1 million / 5800)*(amount of stakes a hunter has)  in case of person 2
that will be : 1 million/5800*500 = 86,206.895 of token B.
So person 2 will receive 86,206.895 of token B at the end of the campaign. This amount of token is only possible if there are limited participants in the bounty campaign.

FIXED PAYMENT
Using the above scenario, Company A is releasing 1million token B for their bounty and they decided that according to the bounty hunters rank/followers in social media, certain amount of token B will be paid weekly. E.g
Facebook/Twitter Campaign
200-1000 = 500 token B per week
1001 - 2,500 = 750 token B per week and so on.....
with this system of payment, the bounty hunter is able to calculate at a glance barring unforseen circumstances, what he/she is going to get at the end of the campaign.
Take for instance person 2 is in the second category and worked for 10 weeks that will be 10*750 = 7,500 token B at the end of the campaign.

Most of the Bounty Managers prefer to use the stakes system for bounty payments. As far as I am concern, that system cheats! Not everyone can calculate accurately how many tokens one will receive at the end of the bounty. I prefer by far the fixed amount system so I know that for a certain period of work, this is what I will receive.

What about you guys? Which do you prefer, the stakes system or fixed amount payment for bounty?

I prefer fixed payment if I can choose because in that way I know the potential amount of payments... expecially in this period of crysis otherwise the risk of having very few tokens is high!

I think it's more delicious of the fix systems rather than stake. Because if our fix is definitely got what the result will even though the participants are much. If the stake depends on the number of participants, the more participants are getting less bid us.

I think more fixed reward will be better. Because if the system is stakes, The lower rank or less followers will have few reward the longer the bounty will run.

There is no straight answer to this question .....at times staked usually preferable to fixed if the participants number is not much.
On the other hand, I like fixed, Because the issue of cheating wouldn't arise and you get what you worked for.
Fixed rewards a kind of have ways of motivating one to work harder and Eran more.

with what you say I agree with the fixed payment system, fixed amount payments are indeed more promising for bounty hunters. but as I know it is not possible.

I think fixed payment system is preferred here.
With fixed payment system one can at a glance make mental note of what ones reward will look like at the ebd of the bounty program.
Fixed payment system will also help a hunter in reaching informed decision whether to participate or not.

I will prefer to have a fixed payment instead of stake, so that bounty hunters do not have to worry about the amount of people joining those popular ICOs and afraid that their earnings will get affected.

Fixed is the best way to pay the bounty hunters. When stake is been use it give us potential of getting low tokens. The more participants the lower amount of token to be shared which is too bad for the hunters

I prefer to be payed in Ethereum.
This is the best way to earn money and save value of own investment.
Furthermore ico teams save token value because save by Bounty hunters dump.

Honestly, I like fixed amounts because, with staking, a higher rank member can reduce your potential money to receive at the end of the bounty.

Stakes is the most preferable reward for bounty as fixed is a cheating to bounty hunters which at time might not even get to the max allocation to the bounty but the staking is round up and will be shared according to the work and reward stake which can be vary in rewards.

fixed payments has always been ideal just that for greed so most wouldnt adopt that style. calculation of stakes always becomes an isssue yet little could you say especially when the bounty manager is the autocratic type.

Mostly we get cheated by managers since they decude what is due us irrespective of what the spreadsheet may read. Fixed payments promote transparency and encourages good work since everyone wants to gain more

If you have a high rank for signature then fixed payment is okay but if youre a low rank then go for staking since it can boost your tokens since it will based on participants not on task.

I am quite satisfied with the betting system, because if it turns out that fewer people participate in the bounty and the project achieves the planned success, then the payment will be rather big!

I have no problem with both system. As long as they meet the ultimate goal of raising enough funds for the project (soft cap).

Of couse, I prefer fixed payment of tokens for performing weekly/monthly tasks.  But in most of the bounties we have stakes system that we receive weekly. Even stake system is a fair system and the problem is participation should be limited so that one can receive a good reward for their efforts or time. If we get fixed amount for the task we perform I would be more happy.

I prefer to fixed amount, but it is no problem with stakes if the bounty manager doesn't reduce the reward amount in the end of bounty program. I saw on altcoinstalks some bounty managers reduced the rewards after bounty ended. It is totally not fair.

Fixed amount is better than stakes. We can calculate how many tokens we will earn till the end of bounty. Bounty manager also cannot change the number of rewards because of participants can calculate their token rewards their selves.

Hope this explains the both system.

I prefer fixed payments. Stake system is really confusing and the bounty team can change the amount located to the bounty. They can say that there was not much contribution, and decrease the amount you get. However if you know the fixed amount you just are OK with the amount you will be getting.

Many will support the fixed bounty system since a lot of campaigns do not set a limit to the number of participants.

I have no personal preference. Or should I say it will depend on the rules of each bounty campaign. "Is there a limit to the number of participants?"

For us all bounty hunters will be happy if we receive a certain number of tokens after performing routine tasks. the preferred method of payment method, in my opinion is the stake method, because this method provides better payments to diligent and routine bounty hunters in making payments, and for bounty hunters who are less diligent they get results that are in accordance with the level Their craft, but that's my opinion. There may be a bounty hunter who also prefers other payment methods, but it all depends on the developer who sets the payment rules. so the bounty hunters must accept the rules set by the developer. The results received by bounty hunters are also very varied, if we participate in social media campaigns, the results we have depend on our follower or friend number, if we participate in the content campaign, the number of results we get depends on the quality of our content. .

For me it depends on how much the fixed payment?
How much the allocation to bounty in stakes measurement with equivalent to tokens?

There are possibility that stake base is more profitable than fixed payment or vice versa.

Practically everyone here considers a fixed payment to bounty hunters more preferable than the betting system. I agree that the betting system leaves a lot of room for various kinds of abuse, and above all from the manager of the bounty campaign ICO. Fixed payments in tokens are more reliable. Regardless of the increase in the number of joined participants, we get the agreed amount of tokens.

I see that always more bounty managers offer Ethereum system payment.
This is a good way to attract bounty hunters, because of the inmediate dumps that happen when bounty rewards are distributed.
So, this is also the best way to save projects' interests.

Definitely the fixed amount payment, and preferably I look for those rare bounties that pay weekly. Stakes system makes it dificult for everyone to calculate how much they will get at the end of the campaign, allows easy changes on the participant limit number (if any) and on the bounty budget.... so I really don't understand the advantages of using this system....

A simple formula applied by all bounty managers to distribute stake is your social media and rank value. If the bounty distributed equally to all then what is the logic of strong social media presence and how they get promotions. If you have less numbers then you give them a little promotion and get as per your efforts. I am with stake system rather then fixed income.

Yes, I agree with this answer. Fixed amount is more friendly and easy to calculate for bounty hunters. The team of ICO projects cannot decrease or cut the number of token bounty allocation by applying this payment type.

Fixed amount will be fair for bounty hunters. I prefer to choose fixed amount because I saw there are many cases of decreasing the bounty pool with stakes formula. We can avoid the cutting allocation by team project or bounty managers.

I will prefer fixed payment over stakes although you will say that stakes might give you a higher allocation but if i get fixed payment i does not need to worry about the amount of participants that is competing with me for the pool.

Of course, for bounty hunters, fixed weekly accrual of new tokens is more beneficial than rate accruals. With a fixed payment of our work, it is easier for us to determine the amount of earnings and there is always less abuse allowed. The charging of bets, as a rule, does not guarantee us anything concrete. In the future, many more participants can join the ICO bounty campaign and this will significantly reduce the amount of earnings. With a fixed payment tokens, no matter how many participants join, this does not affect the amount of payment.

I will prefer a fix amount payment in BTC or Ether or any other cryptocurrency already in the market. This will help in eliminating owning coins that will not avail anything to you because it has not been listed.

I would have started to work much more actively in the project, if I knew how much money I get, and sometimes 3 months sitting in one project, and eventually $17.

Fixed amount is better In most cases than stakes, stakes are also better in rare cases than fixed. Fixed amount makes you calculate and know how much tokens or payment you would get at the end of the campaign before starting the work, at least you know what you are working for, if it will be favourable. Stakes, on the other hand is also favourable if the total number of bounty campaign participants are less but not favourable when bounty participants are much. The total amount of tokens allocated for a particular bounty will be shared accordingly if it's calculated by stakes but for fixed amount any additional tokens remaining in a particular bounty will not be shared again since the amount is fixed

8) 8) 8)I will prefer to have a fixed payment instead of stake, so that bounty hunters do not have to worry about the amount of people joining those popular ICOs and afraid that their earnings will get affected. In prefer to be payed in Ethereum. This is the best way to earn money and save value of own investment. Furthermore ico teams save token value because save by Bounty hunters dump. ;D ;D ;D

For me i will choose fix amount you why because i dont like guessing all i want is to know what exactly amount of payment i get when the specific campaign is done or finish thats it my choice my opinion.

I think fix amount system is more better then compare to stake system. In stake system your work is in extra danger as you don't know what you will get and you can end up having few tokens in the pocket.

I want to get paid in dollars . ~snip~

It will be difficult if you hope to be paid in dollars, man. Some projects are just in the first step to build it. They have no allocation for promotion in dollars. The reasonable way is to pay the promotion with their tokens/coins.

If you want to recieve bounty in stake, you face 2 variables: coin price and coin amount (amount is quite a gamble here) or if you go for fixed amount - you eliminate one variable from the equation.

the payment of the signature campaign will be better if paid fluctuatively according to the number of participants who participate because the fewer participants, the greater the amount of rewards earned

The signature campaign, for me, is the best, because, I do as usual, with a reward. Of course I prefer the fixed system, but what you suggest, is very good too. I stay focused on my contributions here, and everything else, is an extra.

Of course I chose a fixed payment system, because with this system we already knew from the beginning, how many tokens we will receive later, whether the project is successful or not. But if you use the betting system, it will make you lose if it turns out that the project only gets a small amount from the sale of the tokens. But this system will be very profitable if it turns out the project is a big success and gets high sales value.

Well, for now, there are tow type of bounty payment.
1. If the rank is higher, I prefer to use the stake calculation. because the result is dependable and they will depend on the numbers of the participant.
2. The token calculation may be rel how many and we can count them. But, the result may be little bit than stake calculation.

I prefer fixed amount if I can choose because in that way I can have an estimate of my earning doing that campaign. Stakes amount were good in 2017 when most of projects were successful, now that period is bad fixed is the only solution to have a minimal guarantee of decent payment.

Of course, for bounty hunters, a fixed amount is much better than rates. With a fixed amount, you can clearly see how much we can earn, and when betting - not. You can earn a lot of bets, and then it turns out that they cost almost nothing. In addition, when fixed payments do not matter to us how many more participants will join the ICO signature campaign. It does not affect our earnings. When betting it affects directly: the more participants, the less earnings.

As the name is fixed amount, so the amount of rewards have been established with a certain number. While the stakes may change because of the number of participants or the allocation is trimmed by the team or the bounty manager. I also choose the fixed amount for better payment and fair for all parts.

It all depends on the situation or project. Attimes, stakes are better and sometimes fixed is better. Stakes can be better when the total number of participants are not much, one would get higher tokens when it shared among the participants unless otherwise. Fixed, on the other hand is good because at the beginning of the project you already know what you are working for, the amount of tokens to receive at the end of the bounty but the amount is fixed for distribution and no extra tokens will be added for bounty participants if there are any unlike the stakes. Sometimes I prefer stakes and sometimes I prefer fixed depending on the project.

It's better to use the right payment because we don't need to reclaim empty-handed.
But indeed there is a lot of evidence that the Manager's Bounty uses Stake for calculating token payments.

I prefer a fixed amount than a stake. because when paid a fixed amount, we can find out how much our total income is every week (specifically social media). so we can know whether the rewards we get are equal to our work or not.

isn't it the same? when you are paid with a stake. and get a token according to your total stake. the price of the token that you have does not necessarily match the price of ico. and the calculations that you make, (whether your income is equal to your work or not) is also useless. because when in the market, the price of the token is not necessarily in accordance with the price of ico.

Absolutely 100% agree with fixed amount. We can count our rewards ourselves. It is more fair because the team or bounty manager has set the amount of rewards from the beginning. And people know very well how much they get for each tasks on the bounty program.

you just made my day with this. I am so happy about this. I can now strategize myself before any bounty I participated in.

This stakes and fixed payment is similar to another thread which is paying in ICO coins or coins that already have value in them, i will prefer stakes if the ICO specify the amount of hunters for that campaign if not last minute suddenly many hunters come out and the pool will become very small to distribute. If not i will choose fixed payment.

i always love to  bounties with fixed amount because when a bounty  is fixed you dont care about how many participants in the bounty  all you need is to do hard work to get more tokens ..

A fixed way of paying for bounty hunters is always preferable. It allows you to determine in advance the amount of remuneration, and even if the ICO team decides to extend the period of its ICO, then earnings will increase. In the case of bids, it will be almost already free work.

I prefer steaks with a fixed number of participants.  If you pay a fixed amount, it usually turns out very little.  If the number of participants is not limited, then this is also not very good.  At the same time, the pool can always be trimmed.  Therefore, there is no specific recipe.

Fixed payment would be the much better option as compare to the stake system because in stake system we sometime receive less coins and sometime received more than expected it is all dependent on the number of participant So I believe if number of participant will be fixed in the starting of campaign than it does not matter whether you get stakes or fixed amount of tokens because we calculate the coins with maximum participant.

It means the stake system is not good anymore. I also saw in some bounties the bounty managers or team projects decide to reduce the number of token allocations suddenly. With the stake system, they can do the reduction in token allocation after bounties ended. While with fixed amount, they have no choices to pay the token rewards.

I know that bounty hunters prefer a fixed amount of payment for their services. This payment system gives more guarantees and is more transparent in the distribution of tokens. However, it ultimately cannot completely satisfy the bounty hunters until the ICO’s activities are regulated and its teams will not write in terms of joining the ICO bounty campaign that they have the right to change any rules in terms of remuneration at any time. This condition is very discriminatory and simply means their permissiveness and in fact enshrines the right to abuse their rights.

The fixed payment is much better for me. I see stake amount has a chance to be manipulated by the bounty manager. While fixed amount seems quite safe and difficult to be manipulated.

Personally, I really like the fixed amount to be gained as the reward of bounty hunting, especially when the rewards are in Bitcoin, ETH, or XRP, or Stellar coins. They will be worthier than waiting for the stakes.
