You already answered your own question, bitcoin price is rising which causes other coin prices to drop. Let's just be glad that price of ethereum didn't fall like others did.

Maybe in your country, but if we're talking about Philippines, its a big NO. What you earn in mining ethereum is not enough to pay electricity bills here.

Maybe price of ethereum will rise, but it will not hit $1000 as long as bitcoin always getting in the way but who knows? That might happen and its possible.

Yes, I'm using myetherwallet, seem secure for me and I never encounter any problems so far.
