I personally think a low proportion of bounty hunters are investors, at least for any substantial amount of money. There's a reason bounty hunters are spending time promoting ICOs for 'free tokens/coins'. Obviously there are exceptions, but I don't believe many go on to invest in projects. On the other hand, connections of theirs may well go on to invest having found out about the project through them, so the value is still there for the ICOs. I have invested in the past, not so much recently due to the market downturn, but have done a few bounties to keep my interest. I enjoy both, but prefer to invest if the market conditions are right, as it (theoretically) provides a greater return.
