How It Works

We've designed our marketplace to be authentic and accessible. You don't need to be crypto-native to purchase NFTs. We enable everyone to collect great art.

Payment Methods

We make it as easy as possible to purchase an NFT. You can use:

Reserve Price

The reserve price is the lowest amount a seller is willing to accept for artwork during an auction.  However, this number will be hidden from bidders during the auction.

If a collector placed a bid during an auction, it must be above that price or they won't receive the artwork.

Selling

As a token owner, you have a few options to sell your artwork.

Auction - This is a standard English auction. You can set a designated time for collectors to place bids. You'll set a reserve price for your token that will ensure you get fair value.

Fixed price - Set a single fixed price for your NFT. The collector will be able to buy it instantly.


Buying

If you find an NFT you love you can check if it's available for a set price. If it is, then you'll be able to instantly purchase it and see it in your crypto wallet.

If the artwork is currently in an auction, then you'll need to place a bid.


Bidding

You can place a bid on an artwork that is currently being auctioned. Once you've placed your bid, the owner can choose to accept your offer or wait out the auction.

If your bid offer was higher than the reserve price and the highest bid, you'll receive the artwork.

As an NFT marketplace, we have a responsibility to ensure an artworks authenticity. That’s why we create a certificate of authenticity for every NFT on our platform.

It includes the most important information about the artwork. You’ll be able to see:

How Ethereum wallets work

Crypto wallets are like real wallets. But because they're digital, they use cryptography to ensure that only the proper owner can use them. There are 2 ways to gain access to a wallet on the Ethereum network.

A Secret recovery phrase can create as many Ethereum addresses as you need. This one phrase grants you access to all of the wallets it creates. It’s important to keep this as safe & secure as humanly possible.
A Private key grants you access to a single Ethereum wallet.

When using cryptocurrency, it's important to follow best practices to secure the safety of your funds.

Storing Your Secret Recovery Phrase

When you create your wallet, you should write your secret recovery phrase on a piece of paper. Then, you should make one copy and store them in two separate locations. This protects you in case one of them gets destroyed.

Some location storage ideas are a vault or a safety deposit box.

Use Multiple Wallets

When participating in Web3, you should spread your funds across multiple wallets. This way, if one of them is jeopardized, you don't lose all of your crypto.

Use Centralized Exchanges

Most users only need a small amount of their crypto in an active wallet. The rest can be stored on a centralized exchange such as Coinbase. Their security is top-notch and so long as you follow best practices, you shouldn't run into any problems.

Art galleries are vital to the art ecosystem. But they have many problems which hurt them from expanding beyond their existing market.

Discovery

Galleries must spend thousands of hours discovering great artists. It's time-consuming and expensive. This ensures the quality of the gallery. But at the cost of efficiency.

At LiveArtX, we want to make it easy for galleries to curate the best of the best. But we also want their curation to scale beyond a single location.

Smart Contract

Our smart contract enables the creation of different ERC-721 tokens. But artists will have lots of options to customize.

!!!Once you deploy your smart contract, you won't need to deploy another one. The contract will allow any artist you curate to mint their token on the same smart contract.

Types of Tokens

Extended- A powerful token standard that supports multiple creators, rights management, and guaranteed resale royalties. It also supports a buyout option for interoperability and supports multiple royalty receivers. Your token is only available on LiveArtX Marketplace.

Standard - An ERC-721 token with rights attached. It supports multiple creators, rights managements and interoperability. However, it does not guarantee royalties when trading on other platforms.

Basic - A standard ERC-721 that supports one creator and is interoperable.

Customizing Contracts

LiveArtX understands the importance of representing your identity. This is why we enable you to create a perfectly unique smart contract for your brand. We give you a number of options to customize from the name, symbol, and, most importantly, the contract signature.

We encourage you to think carefully about your custom smart contracts. Once this data is available on the blockchain, it cannot be changed. If you want to make changes in the future, you'll have to

Contract Name

The smart contract name identifies the contract and will be used anywhere your contract is mentioned. We encourage less than 15 characters. You'll be able to search for your smart contract on platforms such as Etherscan.

Contract Symbol

The contract symbol will be publicly available on Etherscan. The symbol will be used when sharing links to your smart contract. It's an additional identifier to help establish your brand identity.

The input is limited to 5 alphanumeric characters.

Contract Signature

You can create a custom Smart contract signature using ASCII. This signature should embody your brand's identity. It will be publicly available on your smart contract.

We encourage you to use this tool to seamlessly sign your contract.

Royalties

Our white label solution ensures that everyone in the art world gets paid their fair share. From publishers, to artists, and especially the galleries that curate great artwork.

You can customize the royalties in your smart contract.

*  Initial sale - the first sale of an artwork can have customized percentages of the sale paid directly to the proper parties. Galleries and artists alike can trust the power of blockchain technology to guarantee correct payments.

*  Secondary sales - our white label solution offers advanced customization for secondary sales. In addition to being able to customize the percentage, the percentage can decrease over time. You’ll be able to lower the percentage based on the years the artwork has been in circulation.

The Developer Lab is a set of tools to enable developers to use and customize our smart contracts in any way they'd like. We strongly believe in open source and encourage any and all developers to experiment with our tools.

Bug Bounty

Artists, collectors, and galleries rely on LiveArtX to provide a secure platform. Any flaws in smart contracts can be devastating. The blockchain world has seen the consequences of bugs time and time again, from multi-billion-dollar exchange hacks to devastating flash loan attacks.

While we’re confident in the security of our smart contracts, we encourage bug bounty hunters to find potential ways we can further strengthen our systems. To that end, 1% of $ART is allocated to bug hunting and bounty programs.

This will incentivize individuals and groups to find flaws in our code so that they can be fixed before any damage is done. The program will pay out bounties in $ART tokens, providing an additional use case for the token outside of art transactions. It will also foster a community of individuals who are interested in helping to secure the network, increasing its stability and value over time.
