Coinbase in recent weeks has been in conversations with people from BlackRock's blockchain workgroup to tap into their expertise before launching ETF products. BlackRock is the first pioneer of the famous ETF market with the iShares division.

Currently, Coinbase only supports 4 cryptocurrencies: Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), Bitcoin Cash (BCH) and Litecoin (LTC). This will enable the exchange to expand its product portfolio and develop new financial services that are not part of the cryptocurrency segment.
