To earn from steemit you either should have a lot of steem power(to vote for your own posts), or you should make a very good and original post.

BUT! On other social networks you don't earn at all.
Just be yourself, post how often you like, and follow those who are interesting for you.

I've heard a few youtubers I follow who get around 5-10k views per video say that they have built up their steemit following to produce several thousand dollars per month... then I signed up for steemit account :)

The best way to earn Steem is creation of good quality content,
especially if you can bring up with videos, illustrations etc. But
if you dont want to or dont have time for that, then you can
convert your Steem to Steem Power and delegate to others
in return for Steem and SBD (Jerry Banfield has such a plan
where he promises 36% annual return on delegation).

I've been spending the last month recycling what feels like the same couple of steem dollars into upvote whales and minnows in order to get on average a 200% return. It's ideal when half of the curation rewards goes towards SP, then I get half in SBD which is usually the same amount I put in. It's a ridiculous concept, but it's well worthwhile! A few examples: @randowhale @booster @minnowbooster @minnowpond

Upvote without Steem Power earns nothing. In the beginning only good posts or replies can earn something. Need constant work to grow followers and post periodically.

Steem is great, I initially registered last year, but lost my password info and had to re-register again. I like the idea of a free to use, paid blogging platform, and although I am not really earning on it, it has the potential to be giving returns years down the line.

My articles about ICO are gaining an average of $ 0.3. You can also earn money for curating, but this requires a large SP, and you need to vote for articles immediately after they are posted. I have not managed to earn much yet ...

As far as I understood, the increase in the number of followers will not help in earning money, since few people read their news feed. But you can invest in STEAM POWER, but it will take a significant amount to get a tangible income.

Earning on steemit is one of the difficult task you can find yourself in. Earning on steemit depends on the number of upvotes that your audience give you and these upvotes must come from people who have steem. The unfortunate thing is that on steemit platform it is very difficult to get these upvotes especially those who are eligible to give it to you. Sometimes, your post also gets low audience which will also not allow you to get any steem. Currently it is only those who started steemit earlier are enjoying or better still if you are able to come out with a stunning story the steemit team can identify your work and give you some upvotes on it. Don't be discourage if you are not earning now persevere for sometime and you will see results of your hustle.

last year when I started, I was able to earn lots of sbd due to the curied posts, some whales who have projects within the site was giving huge upvotes because of the value of steem and sbd, however, after new year, price starts dropping and only a few are getting good amount of upvotes.

I loved Steemit because the half of earnings in terms of SBD is withdrawal instantly and now we from the Philippines can withdraw it directly to coins.ph account thru ETH.

december of last year was the best time of steemit... its value reached 15$ or more... i hope that will be reached again soon.

I once created a steemit account, because I saw on the news that Steemit could make money. but it was not easy for me to do that, I had difficulty writing articles that could attract the attention of steemit members, so for a while my steemit account rarely opened, and I haven't gotten anything from steemit.

who buy during ICO are earning a big profit.

I earned some, in December 2017 to Feb.2018. SBD was $14 wow.
But now, I don't think it is possible to earn anything. But in a bullrun we might start to earn again.

Well depends what are you posted,about crypto post its hard to get upvote ,its more easy to make money if you writte about travel ,or post a lot of beutifull pictures.

Anything from software programming to translating to proof reading to making banners. If this is off the cards for you too, that's fine, you don't need Steempower to start getting some success in Steemit.

Really? Why it is not profitable? Because I see a lot of people are still making money from Steemit (as long as their article is good, I think).

Depends on what you see in modestly priced ... The lowest I saw them go was at about 150 bucks ... on Ebay ... But these babys are hard to find ... sadly

Its hard to build an audience in steemit when you are a beginner, you need to invest in steem power and steem dollars to pay voting bots to make your post in the top or else it will be in the bottom where no one can see it and upvote it.
