Basic Questions about Cryptos / Re: Need advice for bitcoin wallet..
« on: June 01, 2024, 10:39:56 PM »
I noticed nobody mentioned aqua wallet.

It is a good bitcoin wallet.
It offers an easy interface for lighting network as well. Not for high amounts , as it is not a hardware wallet.
The aqua wallet is a good one, but when it comes to privacy and anonymity, I wouldn't give it a 100% because there is no support for TOR.

Again, the method used when it comes to seed generation is quite unclear/unknown which makes it quite complex to comprehend.

Again, I don't think there's are any integrations with hardware wallets in the Aqua wallet.

What you say is a fact, without a doubt. But even if that happened, the user base would continue to grow and fortunately, not all users would be inactive. It is true that a decrease in activity has been noticed in recent weeks, but that is something that would happen whether or not there are signature campaigns, it is something that I have seen in previous years. I don't think we should think too much about the activity data, continuing to contribute to the forum is the best we can do.

I am quite surprised disappointed by the way the forum is treated by a large part of users, especially the original (non-teleported) ones. Many participate only and exclusively in filling out a signature quote while writing a meaningless wall of text that does not attract anyone's attention.
So, it is possible to discuss what this forum offers, while users fill the forum with non-sense answers or behave like bots by answering software-generated replies.  :(
I feel your dismay and totally understand your plight.
It's just quite unfortunate that so Manny people on this space do not really understand what the forum stands for, plus a lot of people come here on the community with the wrong and a flawed perspective of this forum, because for them, all they need to do is work their way into a signature campaign, and then just keep writing stuffs (meaningful or not) to get paid at the end of the week, which is a very flawed mentality of what this forum stands for.

The forum is meant to be an educational and a learning source, where people come or refer others to, to gain important and meaningful information about cryptocurrency and other subject matters, but it's indeed disappointing that this isn't the case here.

You have already analyzed the main content of your post so i would like to present something short. Cryptocurrency trading is the buying and selling of cryptocurrencies on an exchange. So you should go with a strong secured exchange where your money will be safe You should understand that cryptocurrency markets move according to supply and demand so choosing a good coin requires a lot of research. Besides, you should trade on leverage and margin and trade on the secure platform. Finally to become an expert in trading, you need to practice more.
In addition, I'd like to also point out the underlying risks involved in cryptocurrency trading.
One of the most unique features of crypto currency is Volatility, the market can be very volatile, making it almost impossible for anyone to analyse or predict what turn the market would take.

I'm not a trader, I'm more of a HODLer, because trading involves several things, which involves the potential for losses. As a newbie in the crypto industry, you MUST experience losses while learning how to trade, no matter the training or lectures you receive, because even expert traders do incur losses via trading sometimes, so losses asleep inevitably an important component of trading.

Most definitely.
There's no limit to how much a person can lose in gambling, no matter how much a rich man has, if he chooses to gamble out of control then he is surely paving his way to poverty because he'll surely lose all his wealth if he doesn't stop and retrace his steps.
That's why I always say that a rich man who is addicted or struggling with addiction has even more to lose than a poor addicted gambler, because the worse that can happen to a poor gambler is to remain poor but that's not the case with rich gamblers.
Around me, I have never seen someone who got rich from gambling, that someone would experience difficulties when they gamble. And I think this happens in all environments.
Getting rich through gambling isn't something we see everyday, I've only seen people who got rich through winning the lottery and not the regular gambling, yeah I've heard situations where people are said to have won millions via sports betting but doesn't really guarantee that the money would suddenly make one rich, because it'll take someone with good management skill to manage such funds, else he'll just end up misusing it and going back to square zero.
I don't think a person can get rich by traditional gambling. I will agree with you that lottery or jackpot winners can get rich quick if they are lucky. But I have seen a lot of interest in getting rich among poor gamblers who want to get rich by sports betting. I don't think a gambler can get rich quick by such gambling behaviors. I have observed the behavior of some gamblers who try to increase their money by winning bets and they dream that they will become rich from those bets. What I think is that if they win in 10 bets they lose in 5 and that 5 bet is too much. Gambling this way will make it difficult to get rich. But those who win the lottery can get rich quickly.
Those poor gamblers who are driven by that interest or dream of getting rich through traditional gambling often lands themselves into addiction and other gambling problems.
This is the reason why they always advise gamblers against seeing gambling as a way to change their financial status, because it usually leads gamblers into making unrealistic gambling decisions that leads to losses and even more losses.

Gambling discussion / Re: Whats your experience with gambling?
« on: June 01, 2024, 06:11:56 PM »

In fact it is like that, whenever I play I do precisely that strategy, well I call it the money we are willing to lose, of course there are times when you lose what you have to lose and it makes you want to put in more money. but that is where you must be careful, because from then on it is when it is most dangerous, if there is not enough discipline you can deposit little by little and when you see that there is no more money available, then in these simple strategies one must have discipline, Sometimes emotions are so strong that they can make us make many mistakes.
Responsible or not, most gamblers have that moment in their gambling experience where they go on a wild gambling, most gamblers have been there when they gamble recklessly.
I've come to understand that when this happens, it's really not a problem, but the problem is when thus happens all the time.

6
In fact, those who haven't found a job should try to avoid gambling as much as possible, because in my opinion, sometimes gambling makes us lazy about doing something.
If someone doesn't have a job or source of income, how exactly is he going to get the money to gamble with?
It'll be very irresponsible for a jobless person to indulge in gambling because you'll definitely gamble for the wrong reason and gambling for the wrong reason often leads to doom.

The only reason you'll gamble would be to multiply the money and this could have a negative effect on you as it could easily cloud your judgement and choice making, gambling shouldn't be considered as a financial problem solver, because you might end up creating even more problems for yourself.
Usually they get money from gifts from their parents and they use it for gambling. This is unhealthy, because they do everything they can to gamble.

Of course it is irresponsible, how they still try to gamble when they have no source of income. I think a person's maturity can be judged in this case, because if they think maturely then they will avoid doing things like this and focus more on something better.
This could have disastrous effects when such persons eventually get addicted to gambling, because it could result to robbing, stealing, kidnapping and other hideous crimes just to raise money to satisfy their gambling habits and this can be harmful to both the victims, as well as the society and their immediate family too,if it's not tackled early.

It's completely a bad idea to gamble when you know fully well that you don't have any source of income that gives you money, because it could make you turn to gambling as a source of income which is a very bad idea.

Gambling discussion / Re: should gambling be completely banned?
« on: June 01, 2024, 05:44:04 PM »
They're just preventing something bigger, it seems, because if you want to eliminate it then it's something that's not easy to do.

Some facts are even surprising, where the government prohibits gambling in a country, but there are individuals who have power who can directly collaborate with gambling owners. I think things like this are also complicated, because on the one hand the government prohibits it, but on the other hand there are individuals who play and seek personal gain.
We've heard of cases of underground casinos where people go to gamble secretly in countries and areas where there's a ban or prohibition on gambling, and even the government are aware of these secret underground casinos but decide to keep mute because they benefit from them in one way or the other.
This only proves the fact that gambling can't be completely banned, because even if the government places laws that formally bans gambling activities, there'll always be people who will come up with alternative means for them to still gamble, with or without the notice of the government.

seen some of these local betshop owners visited by the sheriff every now and then in our neighborhood, rumors spread all over in town about it that why the betshop is never been raided by the cops.

so yea the corruption is rampant and this underground casinos thrive when the officers in town are just bolder and casino operators can get away.
That only means one thing, legally or illegally, the authorities still benefit from it.
The government now tax gambling companies, which is one reason why they'll never place a permanent ban on gambling activities, even the illegal gambling outlets and casinos still pay the authorities to stay in operation and that's how it's been for decades and will continue to be.

Gambling discussion / Re: Do People Change Their Preferred Casino?
« on: June 01, 2024, 05:30:33 PM »
When it comes to offline casinos, it is unlikely that a player will change the casino he is already used to. What matters to the player is the atmosphere, bonuses for vip players, menu, location - that is, a lot of small factors that become important when choosing a casino
Even with physical casino's, there are still factors that could make you change their favourite or preferred casino.
Like moving out from the neighbourhood to another. Migration could make you choose another casino because it'll be difficult to maintain and access the same casino from your new location whenever you wanna gamble.
This will come back to each of us personally, when we are at the casino we frequent, we usually already know and are even familiar with the people who are always at that casino. Meanwhile, if we have to move, we have to adapt again.

I myself prefer online-based casinos, because I don't waste a lot of time because I can play at home using my cellphone. But once again it comes back to one's comfort.
Very true. In such cases online casinos can indeed be a lot more preferable and more convenient as it'll save you from the stress of having to adapt to a new casino when you move out of the neighborhood or when you're on a trip, because with the help of online casinos, you'll be able to gamble whenever, wherever and however you want without having to leave the comfort of your home.

Though this could also have its own disadvantages too because having the liberty to gamble whenever, however and wherever you please can easily make one lose control while gambling, as well as exceeding their gambling limits without even knowing it.

Gambling discussion / Re: Is Gambling for All?
« on: May 31, 2024, 11:53:31 PM »
For instance as a gambler, it is good we plan our gambling routine so as not to be carried away by it. Doing such would put us up in the right track or budgeting for our gambling routine which makes it more conducive and convenient for us. This alone would put us in the check so we do not gamble excess.

I agree gambling with a plan is important in the life of every gambler regardless of why you gambling. When we set budget, we don't loss more than required in a particular gambling section and also we don't throw away our winnings by continuous gambling. Which ever ways, setting a budget is indispensable as a gambler with discipline.

I will agree with your opinion to this ideology that budgeting plays a very vital role in financial expenditure. I think this is a better part of a disciplined gambler if you would agree with me. Budgeting cuts down gambling excesses per say and would put any one operating on the safe and sure principles to not spend more than they earn. It gives sense of reasoning while gambling and any gambler that do budget before gambling would be very much attentive and cautious to their gambling lifestyle.
Budgeting is indeed important and essential for anything that involves finance, whether investment or gambling,, because if you don't have gambling budgets, you'd end up gambling excessively just as you've said, but budgeting helps you to keep track of your gambling progress and know how much goes in and comes out in some cases.
It can also help you set limits for yourself and know when to stop gambling and walk away or when to continue gambling, this is indeed very essential for every responsible gambler.

Cryptocurrency discussions / Re: Are you buying now?
« on: May 31, 2024, 09:26:33 AM »
I agree with you, all your Bitcoin investment shouldn't be sold at once. At least, a small fraction should be left to continue the accumulation process because as the days go by, the worth of Bitcoin increases, we are having more investors learning and adopting Bitcoin, and the most important part is the limited supply of coins to be mined which will in turn increase the value. Using the DCA strategy to accumulate would be a great a idea as it won't create any turbulence in your financial activities. All the person needs is a source of income to keep the process going.

The accumulation process should be long and the selling process should also be longer because if you sell all your Bitcoin at once then you will wait for another dip to buy again therefore keeping some and selling some for profit is a better idea which should be accepted by every individual.
Buying the DIP is a good approach but that doesn't mean that everyone who wish to invest in Bitcoin must first wait for a DIP before he buys, there are other accumulation methods that can guarantee your long-term profitability, such as the DCA strategy. This strategy doesn't require to try to time the market by making you wait for a DIP or believe that it's the best right/best time to buy.

Since one has a stable income, you could set an interval, weekly or monthly to buy and accumulate with a particular percentage of your income, and you'll end up accumulating a good number of Bitcoin without feeling the impact.
It's just saving money in a piggy bank.

Indeed it's a big win for a newbie to be boarded into the crypto world in such a way. It'll open their eyes to see how profitable the crypto market is, but again, it'll also make them have the wrong perspectives and view about crypto investment.

Beginning with a huge win would make a newbie believe that the market would always be this profitable and thereby ignoring the potential risks of losses, just because Notcoin gave them such huge profits would make them believe that the next project they join would certainly produce the same result which can be really dangerous for a newbie.

First they need to understand how the crypto market really works, the risks and dangers involved before deciding to go into another project, because most of those people have never heard anything about crypto and how it works, so it's important to educate them first and equip them with the required knowledge they'll need in order to proceed into working on other crypto projects.

With technological developments, every country and its citizens will certainly follow every development, including crypto. Of course, if it is legal in a country, it will no longer be difficult for its citizens to do anything with crypto. But if there is a ban, it is certain that there will be people who will try to do it illegally and, in technology, it can be done and there are many ways. But breaking the rules is certainly not good, because it will be dangerous for him, even though he has the opportunity to make transactions.
You're right that breaking the law isn't a good thing, but just like you said, there'll always be people who will break those laws, so if you're going to be a law breaker, then it shouldn't be laws that infringes on another citizen's fundamental rights or that'll cause harm to you, other citizens or the society at large.

Most governments places a ban on crypto because they're scared of the height crypto might attain in the future and then try to contain it, so those laws are mostly for their personal and selfish reasons  and nothing more, so breaking such crypto laws to me isnt really an actual crime.

General Discussion / Re: Is the matrix movie possible?
« on: May 30, 2024, 09:28:45 PM »
I've been seeing this thread for quite some time now and have been skipping it whenever I come across it, but today I just decided to check it out.
And reading through the contents of the thread, all I can say is that, everyone who has seen the movie matrix knows it's just a complete fiction, although, there are few stuffs that we can say is real but it's the fictional parts that made the movie so intriguing and interesting to watch.

And concerning the flat earth theory, there's no way that could be true because there are so many things we encounter everyday that tells us that the earth can never be round, if the earth was flat then we would actually have the the end of the earth.
Then the phrase "end of the earth" would literally be true and not just a metaphor.

Again, the whole wouldn't actually be using different time zones if the earth was actually flat. Think about that.

General Discussion / Re: Relationships
« on: May 30, 2024, 09:19:04 PM »
Of a truth women sometimes can not be predictable. Their emotion swing is very confusing that you will just get fed up. I  have come to realise that  there are hormones in their body that triggers their actions and reactions and it act accordingly when ever it is time to do so. After that findings, I was able to understand as well that they need soft landing and as a matter of fact, that is how they are wired. If you don't understand them, you will keep having issues in your marriage with your wife.
That's right, and in addition,
Women are like little children, they like to be taken care of and protected at all time, they want to be pampered, even when they're wrong sometimes, they still expect you to be the one to apologize, and its pretty funny sometimes. I've come to realize that women don't really have problems if as a man you learn how to react to everything they do the way you should.

With every action towards you, they have an expected reaction required of you, and if you're able to know that reaction then you'll know how to tackle them and control them. It's just like they expect you to read their thoughts sometimes and know what they expect of you because they wouldn't even tell you just like little babies who can't talk but expect something of you, lol.
Honestly, this is something pissing kind of behavior on which they are always right and we guys dont have the right on making up some explaination but well if we do love a person then we would really be just that simply getting used to it and its really that something laughable with this kind of condition for us guys. Better get used to it rather than on making yourself that getting stressed or would be making out those kind of debates to them because it would really be just that might resulting to severe problems on which we dont really like to happen.
Women do really loved to be pampered but im not that guy on really that showing up that kind of behavior. haha
Indeed,
Relationship is all about compromising and learning how to make certain sacrifices. As a man if you can't compromise even in the most difficult cases, then you'll never have the chance to understand women, rather than understanding their partners, women want to be understood all the time, so giving them the impression that you can actually understand them even when you feel like raging up and just shout at them and sometimes even hit them, would actually make them feel loved and safe with you, and that's one way to get a woman's complete loyalty and submission.

Not that you can't scold them sometimes or just yell at them when the need be, you can and certainly will, but at the same time, you gotta also know how to calm yourself down and let them know why you became so furious.
