Are my funds safe importing private keys to ED?
« on: October 31, 2017, 09:22:07 AM »
I know we need to import private keys when using mew at ED. Is this action safe at all?
What should I do to protect my funds when already imported my private keys to ED: Forget account or?

Note: Better use metamask which does not require importing your pk to ED.

how about the fee. Direct import to etherdelta vs metamask. Is it the same?

The site is safe, to do is to protect their own private key, not let outsiders know

Does ED keeps private key in browser's cache?

On Etherdelta after the change of ownership, it was noticed theft from the clients' wallets. It is better to use hardware wallets.

I would definitely create a separate wallet for etherdelta. It is decentralized so if you lose funds they are gone for good.

Yes, this is 100% safe. Even safer is using Metamask.

Not true until you prove your words.

Use MetaMask, don't trust EtherDelta, you're asking for a classic man-in-the-middle-attack. It's a website.

Going for metamask now. But it seems the whole site is a mess now. Who sees that?

If you have a Ledger, you can login to Etherdelta/Forkdelta/Idex in a 100% safe way... I firmly reccomend it!

I definitley would use Metamask for IDEX/Etherdelta/Totle.. for these types of sites.. its safer but more importantly its just easier and more intuitive.. I think it will make your entire experience alot more enjoyable using it.

Best way to stay safe is to use Metamask or even better if you have an hardware wallet like Ledger or Trezor to login with it.

I always use a separate wallet when I am trying to trade in Etherdelta or Forkdelta just for being cautious. I know that it is safe to use these sites but then we don't know what if something will happen that would compromise these sites so I just want to be safe. There are gem coins in these sites as most of the time, the ERC-20 tokens are first listed here. I always use bookmark too when accessing these sites because there are many phishing sites.
