"Topic you have posted in" Sign is not showing!

Hey guys, I hope you all are doing fine, this topic is especially for the admin I know he is very active and will make this update very soon. Plus, please guide me if I am making this thread in the wrong section. Well the thing is:

On the homepage of the section, we get to see the icon that we have posted on this thread or not, like in the following pic.

But when we enter into this topic we don't get to see this icon there like in the following picture.

I hope I was able to convey my message successfully, I hope we can see this icon in the post as well because sometimes, I open posts without noticing that either I have posted it or not, so till now I only saw that icon while I was in the topic and made posts, so I don't know if there is any case where I made two posts in the same thread, but I hope many other people might have face this issue. I know if I had made a post in one thread and if I made another I should have remembered it but believe me, my memory is so *** bad.

PS: Or Is there any type of settings to configure to see this option?

It's the same as me, I'm also starting to see something that's not good in the User Interface in this section.
When I click on a thread that I have posted there should be an icon or symbol that I have made a post in that thread but this is not the case.

I also looked for this option in my account settings on the main page but I haven't found it yet.
Or maybe the setting already exists but I don't know which button to check to be able to provide the option "if I have already replied to the post in the thread".

You noticed a good point, I did not notice this till now. I hope this will be corrected by the admin in no time, I suggest you to share this thread on public chat so the admin can know about it and could do something about it. I think you did share it in the right section because it is not some kind of suggestion, I consider it a fault that should be corrected so this post has no place in the suggestion box section.

From now on I will double-check the topic before making a post until this problem gets solved. I bet the admin is not aware of this thread, if he would then the problem would be solved till now he has been very active and I can't disagree with that. aiviaa485 is an old member of this forum and if she did not found any settings then I assume there is none so admin have to add this feature manually.

Well I don't know how active you were from the December 7 2023 when you registered in the forum because if you were active and making comments then you will notice that this statement at the top of you home and other pages "Show new replies to your posts. «"

Though he, the admin has done what you have asked like BTT sign when you make comment at the back side of the author.

It seems like you did not understand what OP is trying to say, or I might not understand your point, so first clear my confusion and that is, you are focusing on the agenda of how to see all the posts and replies, or threads we make, and what replies we got on them, right? But that's not what Op meant, he meant to say, he can see a sign "ICON" that shows you have posted in this thread from the outside of topic where that topic lies. For example in this case Forum related section.

Like in the first picture OP gave, but when he opens the topic where he already made a post he did not come to see the same icon within the topic, so I don't know how your point is relevant here. I suggest please clarify it more, maybe you are right and give us something new to learn, thanks.

It seems like there is no need to update because at the beginning we already knew that the thread had been replied to by us.
If we feel that we have already replied to the thread, it's better to avoid it so that there are no double posts or replies that are almost the same.
But if the admin has an update, maybe it will be notified later in this thread and usually the admin will reply and confirm that the subforum or feature has been updated.

I don't know the settings for this feature and I haven't found it yet. Sorry.
Maybe other members will tell him if there is a setting feature.

It's not a bug or so, that's how every SMF forum is designed, the "topic you have posted in" icon can only be seen on the board/section or topic/thread list, and the icon you can see above the "Author" is something to identify if the thread has single page, double and multiple pages.

The only way identify what threads you already replied/posted in is, accessing the action=unreadreplies, that icon in the topic list and in your post history.

Thanks, Hamza for replying, even if I don't remember in which topic I have posted (agbe) I simply double checks it, by seeing it in the section where that topic is made, or if the topic has one or two pages then I simply use ctrl+f function and write my name to see if I made post in it or not. By the way, thanks to you both for helping.

I honestly don't have time for this .... there are much more urgent issues to deal with, and some important bugs to fix.

This doesn't make sense, if there's nothing wrong on how it looks or bugs in it, why change/update/add it? Besides it's not resulting to confusion.
