Forum related / Re: [Sugestion] Old Posts Remove
« on: May 10, 2024, 11:31:03 PM »
I have noticed that a huge amount of Posts from the Bounty Board is available and there are no use of it. So to speed up the Forum, it is suggested to review and remove the old posts, like atleast older then 2020. From 2020 - Till Now, is more then enough for all the users to check previous data.
I wouldn't delete bunch of old posts without good reason and unless they are against some forum rules.
Moving them to archive could be a better idea, but I don't think old Bounty boards are important to anyone here.
You won't find any useful information there, but there could hold some important proof of multiple accounts and cheating in forum.

Do you think it would be a good idea to offer a simulation of how a bitcoin mixer would work, on testnet maybe?
No, there is nothing complicated about using a mixer, and they are not all working exactly the same way, so simulation is worthless.
There was one testnet mixer before as CM clone (in bitcointalk forum), but they turned into mainnet mixer soon enough, and I think they even created ANN topic here.
I am suspicious about that service and I wouldn't recommend it.

Signature Campaigns / Re: Altcoinstalks Signature Campaign Observer
« on: May 10, 2024, 11:00:48 PM »
Maybe now is the best time to start the mixer. After CM was closed, soon many new services appeared, and some older ones also caught the air. These days there is less competition, which increases the possibility of success.
With a higher degree of security and disclosure of personal information, it is possible.
Any mixer that pops out in near future should be considered very high risk from this point on.
Scammers are going to use this situation to increase creation of their scam mixer projects, so I will be very reserved to anything that comes out unless someone manages to create new decentralized mixer.

It is expected that most crypto transactions will be probably banned in Russia in autumn. I guess many other countries which can ignore what US government says are also not so crypto friendly. So there will be other problems unfortunately. Hope US courts will side bitcoin and crypto in forthcoming cases. ???
Vitalik won't approve that  :P
Expect to see wave of new crypto arrests in Russia soon, same like we saw in United States... as if someone is controlling both countries from the same source....
Puppet governments are installed everywhere.

It is very likely that most of your satoshis have been in a mixer at some point.
Yes, but government has special magic trick to make any bitcoin sats whitelisted, and than they can sell it  :P
If anyone else tries to do that they are going to be charged as criminals.

Exchanges can't check the complete history of  every sat. They will probably check the past 3-6 transactions...
They are obviously not doing anything manually.
Analytics software used by them is complicated and it is checking all connections, not just ones that are previously made.
I think this is all crap,it is not exact science, and it's dangerous for Bitcoin.

USDT Forum / Re: USDT transaction fees on various networks
« on: May 10, 2024, 10:42:32 PM »
Honestly, first time hearing about USDT on Liquid. Sounds cool, but can you please provide some metrics?
Can't you read the links I already posted above for more information about that?  ::)
Not all centralized exchanges support L-USDT, but there are enough decentralized services and exchanges (Peach Bitcoin, Aqua wallet...) doing that.
Some centralized exchanges are part of Liquid Federation so they should support it, like Bitfinex, Huobi, BTSE and others.

I think the EU will not risk arbitrarily introducing and applying CBDC in the next few years, temporarily they are focusing on testing and monitoring MiCA.
Sorry but you didn't do any good research about this.
It's not that hard to find actual documents proving this and they have they have serious plans to introduce mandatory CBDC by 2030.
First they plan to start optional with giving people ''free'' CBDC credits, but if they can't do it in peace they will just create another big war, and than hide in their holes like rats, while regular people die fighting each other.

USDT Forum / Re: USDT is now on TON blockchain!
« on: May 10, 2024, 10:28:38 PM »
You don't have full control over telegram wallet. You can not export keys, you can not backup it. If you delete or lose your Telegram account or your account is banned by Telegram for some reason - you will lose your wallet and everything in it. Using Wallet from a recovered Telegram account creates a new wallet. According to their faq you can verify your wallet providing some personal information and later recover access to it providing that information to their support, but I can't vouch for how reliable this way is.
Yeah, but like I found in their website help pages there is a way to create non-custodial wallet in TON Space and then import it into another TON wallet like Tonkeeper.
I wouldn't hold anything long term on Ton blockchain, and I wouldn't even use Telegram wallet, but most people who use telegram will be temped to try it because it's easy to use it  :P
I see they even have Bitcoin listed in Telegram wallet, but it still uses old style addresses starting with 1...

And what blockchain do you mainly use for USDT?
USDT on Liquid network built on top of Bitcoin is better, fees are cheaper than most you posted above, and they can be confidential transactions.
It's also much easier to swap L-USDT to L-BTC and get back into Bitcoin mainchain when transaction fees are lower.
Supported wallets are Aqua, Green wallet, Jade hardware wallet, ledger wallet, etc.

Coinbase have option to trade Grin for USD, not sure is there any crypto pairs available at the moment on any other US based exchange.
That means nothing.
Coinbase explore page you posted can also show Monero and almost any other cryptocurrency that exist in the world, and this coins are surely not listed on Coinbase exchange.
This page is similar like CoinMarketCap that is operated by Binance, or independent Coingecko website.

I thought that developing this list was part of an effort to preserve privacy, especially after banning mixing services, but now mixers that have ref links appear first, and some ads appear at the top, so at least leave an option to click on referral links if they want to support the service.
Have you ever donated to this service, since you value privacy so much?  ::)
I don't think so, but you are big on words and criticism, and you clearly have no idea what it takes to operate any website that was attacked by multiple DDOS attacks...
Blaming someone with statement that ref links are not allowed in forum feels like someone is trying to snitch to admin for something that is clearly allowed :P
This reminds me a lot on something that happened in bitcointalk forum not long ago...

The thing is, you can't really outlaw mixers and coinjoins without also outlawing privacy coins such as Monero. The reason being, that it makes no sense to ban mixers when people will just do BTC <=> XMR <=> BTC exchanges on different exchanges.
I saw they are already preparing new law to ban such things and anything related with privacy, that only means their CBDC crap is going to be released very soon.
Think of them as ICO scammers who are selling junk, but trying to make it look good with whitepaper, while trying to kill competition before that.
Something seriously stinks here, they are in hurry and acting nervous, as if someone ordered them to do this quickly.
And don't get fooled thinking they will ever leave Bitcoin alone  :P

Crypto Wallets / Re: Are you using Hardware Wallets?
« on: May 09, 2024, 10:04:02 PM »
Since owning the hardware, I have only done one update the rest until now I no longer do updates, I only check the balance and then close back and ignore updates, so is it still safe or keep updating?
You should update firmware for sure, Trezor developers fixed important security issues and made significant improvements and changes during last few years.
There is also a chance that running old firmware could result in error with transactions, but if you are not using device than it doesn't matter, since you should keep seed words separately offline.

« on: May 09, 2024, 09:55:50 PM »
Issue RESOLVED now, thanks for giving quick feedback.
I had some problems with my internet connection yesterday, so it was not only issue with AltcoinsTalks forum but with many other websites.
It should be working ok now so I am locking this topic now to avoid spam.

Crypto Wallets / Re: Wasabi wallet shutting down Coinjoin
« on: May 08, 2024, 10:09:33 PM »
This high fee is temporary. We won't live in bull run forever.
Even with very low fees this would never be usable in Bitcoin like it is in BCH electrum cash with cashfusion.
Wasabi wallet will never introduce this feature, so it's not really that important for this topic.
And I think there are better chances of bitcoin getting full banned (after they introduce mandatory CBDC) than fees going back to 1 sat/vb, but keep on dreaming.  :P
