Time offset

Forum time is UTC+1

To get the accurate time do I set Time Offset: -1?
If that is correct then we should be seeing same posting time with the time here.

Can anyone correct me that I got the right time offset?

Yes, that's correct. You have now set your time to UTC. If that's what you are trying to set.

If you just want to sync with forum's time just use 0 in the time offset box.

Edit: now I get you're trying to set the forum's time so as I said previously just type 0 instead of -1.

I set mine -1 too but still bitcointalk is ahead behind of 1 hour. I guess the default time here is +2 offset instead of +1 as mentioned by admin.
So -2 is the right offset for exact UTC the same on bitcointalk.

I already asked admin about exact time in forum in one of my topics and this is what he replied back than:

Some countries had DST or Daylight saving time and that can affect the time by one hour.
This creates a lot of confusion, especially as they are always changing this.

That's where the confusion is. I think the forum server time in UTC will be easier for everyone. There are no need for +/- of any hour unless anyone wants to adjust it with their local time.

I never use UTC time for anything but I think this is the same as GMT (Greenwich Mean Time) time.
Just by stating what time zone forum is using (next to the time) could also work fine.
Everyone could easily convert it to their local time zones by using calculators, for example timeanddate.com:

It's not that complicated to understand when you know that earth is one big clock and sun tells us the time of the day.

I would prefer if we could use the same time as in bitcointalk forum, but I am fine with anything really.

It's not that complicated to understand when you know that earth is one big clock and sun tells us the time of the day.

I would prefer if we could use the same time as in bitcointalk forum, but I am fine with anything really.

It all depends on where the Forum server is hosted and the convenient time for that location and also for the admin. He can't set the forum time to GM+3 while he lives in GM-6 time zone( doesn't work that way.)

Who told you that sheriff? 
I can create website in five minutes and make it show any time I want, it does not matter what location is server using is hosting my website using.
And I think I saw admin saying that he can change forum time to anything, so your theory is not working

Lol. I can not create a website and set the time zone to Asian while I'm stuck here in Africa. This way I can have a correct timestamp on my work. Well, the Sherrif is not a robot and can be wrong sometimes. 

Well, ATL and BTT could use the same time zone to make it easy for signature managers.
