Holding altcoins becoming a pain in the ass at this moment. Some of my locals have bought some Altcoins that have some potential to give 5 to 10x ROI in this bull run, but they are suffering huge price manipulation at this moment due to the war and the Bitcoin price correction. Altcoin is not for long-term investment. If people want to make money out of the altcoins, they should buy only the top ten coins. These top ten coins will be able to recover in the future even if they go down for a short term. But people are investing in come name less coins that has no fundamentals and suffering now. I hope the bull run recover their losses.

For airdrop and bounty project are successful depend on braveness the developer how to spent some budget for advertising and make investor interested, right now many airdrop want spent much money in the early not only for advertising but also want to pay fees listing on market or add liquidity.
Promotion is most important way with successful airdrop and bounties but many airdrop participants get disappointed with some airdrop delay distribution coins after early listing on the market. Need to find good airdrop or bounties pay on the early for participant and then listing on the market.

By the look on how many altcoins havent reached their past ATH and not even close to it, holding altcoins is the only thing that is left. But to be honest, I consider altcoins only for a short term hold, as on a long distance, I have only negative experience of holding them. To make it simple, I might better say that bitcoin is for holding, and all altcoins are for trading. The risk of holding and profit is in-commensurable for me. I have earned more with Bitcoin, then with holding altcoins. And I would say that it is easier to hold bitcoin and wait for profit, then to do research and try to buy new altcoins.

We cannot compare today's market with the market of early bitcoin days. The market was tiny as hell and there was almost nothing as a crypto market. I don't know if there was other cryptocurrency besides Bitcoin, but Bitcoin was too unique and some people had trust in it when they saw the whitepaper and the technical explanation from Satoshi.

Compared to this, today's market is too big and there are a lot of alternatives. You don't have to invest in any coin that launches on the market. You have to do your own research before you invest. Check the usecase of the project first and then invest. Do not invest just because some others did the same.

Investing in altcoins for long term is risky but if you invest in top 10 ranked coins it can make you profit in future. You can invest in all the altcoins that are ranked and popular in CoinmakeCap.  When these coins grow with Bitcoin you will surely profit that's why you should choose good coins. Of course you will benefit when the altcoin markets are pumping a lot more when Bitcoin is at peak ATH. And if you choose a new coin to invest in then it is definitely risky, if you invest in them for a long period of time you will face loss. New products are always pumped for a short period of time and then the market price drops too low, in which case you lose your money. If you see Bitcoin increase around 3% altcoins or tokens increase more than 30% only if you are lucky to hold a coin or token that you know will skyrocket but that's pretty risky to hold you know if it fails to increase it would die gradually so make sure to always DYOR and always check the news and updates about that altcoin or token so that you can action right away if there's some bad news about it.

Dont how to reply on such a post, when part of altcoins that I have bought in 2021-2023 still havent given me any profit. It sounds that it is a miracle if Bitcoin price makes 3%.  While I have few dogecoins that I have bought at 66cents per coin in 2021. It was during altcoin season. So when I see dogecoin price today as 16 cents, I want to ask those who say that altcoins can give 200% profit, or "tokens increase for more than 30%". Where are my 30-200%? I've done research. Dogecoin is not a trash altcoin that will disappear in a year. That is just one example.

When people say that holding altcoins can give huge profit, would you also give example of what and when you have bought. Because without it is sounds like shaking air.

I agree with you, if an investor wants to invest in ALT coins he can invest in any one of the top 10 coins in the market or multiple coins. If an investor uses CoinMarketCap in this case, he will easily know about the top ten ALT coins. If an investor invests in the top ten coins of CoinMarketCap, his investment will be very safe and he will be able to hold this investment for a long time with relatively less risk. In investing in ALT coins many times we make mistakes that we don't invest in the right coins which results in our investment suffering a lot. If one invests in the best coins then the chances of such damage will be very less.
