The reason I say this is because when I am not mentally prepared, if I engage in gambling, I loss the bet.

No doubt, mental support is important in gambling as it aids concentration but the truth remains that you can't win all the time even with full concentration (mental support). The reason for this is simple, there are factors which decides the outcome of a game that can never be foreseen even with mental support.

An irony of the game is that someone can lose with mental support whereas another individual who predicted haphazardly might win.

    • Have you ever shared investment advice or opinions with others?
    • How did those investments turn out for them?
    • Did you receive praise or criticism for your insights?

I have shared investment advice with friends. This is almost like a daily thing in my circle of friends. If there is a successful investment we bring it to the circle so that others can follow such investment strategy or plan and become successful. This is not limited to a win though, even when there are loss we share too so that others won't encounter should fall. We are a group of cryptotraders and so opinions that can help to navigate the cryptospace is what forms the nuclei of our discussions.

Well, most of the advise don't always turn out as thought but the few times my advise have helped the circle, I received rewards from members of the circle.

And sir @igebotz even drop alot of important information pinned for this our board wey dey easy forus to see.
As an older member with more forum experience make sure to always tell the newbies that you introduced to the forum to do more reading to understand how things work before they try to write if they do not have any prior forum experience from any other platform.

If you are labelled as a spammer or a shit poster, it will not be an easy task to change that impression that other forum members who have noticed you will have about you.
What I understand is that, most people focused more on earning with the impression that would earn as they are writing. Well, there is no cause for alarm. What happened is that people should be focused more reading to gain knowledge, I actually was doing that because i was putting much more efforts on writing instead of doing researched on what has happened to gain experience from it, rather than me just waking up and start putting up post. But today, it's completely different how I sees the forum and others.

You are right. The users who post with the sole reason to earn easily get demotivated when he isn't earning and so will involved in post-bursting or stay for weeks without posting. This forum as you noted should be for knowledge gain and so as you learn from the opinions of others, you should be rational and articulative in your post so that others can learn from you. Understand that here is where knowledge is shared and not where money is made. With this mentality, users can be more constructive in their post.

This is a good innovation by the moderator @Igebotz. I believe this will motivate others to make quality posts to earn more karma and have their names appear here subsequently because every user would be glad to see his/her name in a list as such. @Igebotz you are doing a nice job.

Gambling discussion / Re: what is the impact of gambling on students?
    « on: April 01, 2024, 10:25:09 AM »
I have seen students who are usually addicted to gambling are now known as bad people in the society. As far as possible they have created a situation where they are willing to do any evil to make up for the gambling money. So such a boy child is the biggest threat to the society and the family, because a gambling addict can never bring anything good. So every parent should be careful enough to discipline his son so that your son does not get addicted to gambling.

When a student is addicted, his education is affected. He will lose focus on his academics, and can easily become a dropout since he will not be able to pay his school fees. Whenever such a student is given his school fees, his first thought will be to use it for gambling and the parents of the student will come to know when a lot of things have gone wrong already in the student's life.

With the rate of student involvement in gambling, parents should always keep an eye on their children's activities and work rates in school to be able to ascertain their performance. In the case of a drop in performance, parents should find out the cause. If a parent pays a lackadaisical attitude in the progress of the child, it will be too late to make corrections if the child is trapped in addiction.

Economics , Sociology & Politics / Re: Cost of living
    « on: April 01, 2024, 09:46:48 AM »
The thing is just that the corruption rate us very high, what is ment for the general public, one man will siphon it or turn it to a family business, which is very bad, and it is affecting the country. Most natural resources that are to be utilized by the government for the betterment of the country are conveyed to one person. Cost of living is high as a result of corruption and greed.

Corruption is the reason Nigeria has failed to develop. The elites always want to benefit at the detriment of others. Sometimes I am forced to ask if our politicians do not feel the cry of the poor. Most annoying aspect is that even when relief materials are provided by NGOs few greedy persons will hijack it for their aggrandizement. This is the reason the cost of living continue to rise and impoverish the people.

Nigeria as a digital society today, has been the best thing ever technology advancement has make things more easier for the Nigerian government and citizens too... looking at the primitive era, where man uses ancient and primitive tools to work, we can see that things back then wasn't easy and took a lot of energy and time wasted to be done, but in our present time, due to the advancement of computer, things has become more easier that before.

You can shear information at ease to any part of the world without stress, and also working online to earn money, infrastructural development etc..
What do you think about Nigeria as a digital society?

Nigeria is still evolving. Compared to other nations of the world, we are technologically backward but regardless, things are better off compared to what used to be in the past. However, our forefathers who lived without high technology didn't think life was difficult. They embraced every struggle with dignity and respected individuals based on their physical ability.

Today, we can boast of technology which makes life easy. Tasks that took a long time can be completed in seconds. But with the recent push to ban binance I am forced to ask, is Nigeria ready to utilize the digital space?

Saving money is very good and important for living.
No matter how rich you are now, if you don't save today you will beg tomorrow; saving money is part of budget planning and if you don't plan today you will fail tomorrow.
So talking about the benefit of saving money:
*Saving money gives you financial independence.
*Saving money, have the capacity to reduce stress.
*Saving money, helps to limit debt.
*Saving money, helps at the time of emergency.
Let me drop but a few benefits of saving money.

You are right. A man without savings is a man without back ups. There is an adage in my locality which is translated to mean that "it is only during emergency that you will know a man". This goes a long way to justify the importance of savings because it is only a man with savings that can overcome the emergency test. One of the measurements for financial stability is saving. A man who is financially stable is a man with savings.

I can relate to this. Savings can save lives. I remember when my younger sis had an attack. When she was rushed to the hospital we were asked to make certain payments before treatment could commence and we did all thanks to my savings. Imagine looking for where to lend money at that critical time. Similarly, with your savings, you can be lucky to buy nice properties in distress sales.
