It is really hard to say anything like a future eth as no one really thought something like this would even happen. Take the case of ltc itself it had a price of 3.92$ whole year but suddenly it increased to 24$. I think you should go with xmr as it hasn't received any sort of pump till now

Ethereum has done so well because it was first to market and has a very strong team. I find it very hard for new currencies to compete but here are some notable competitors: Waves is also a platform where you could create custom tokens, which is similar to Ethereum. PrimalBase, a new ICO, built their token off of waves. Waves is also approaching a solution for a decentralized Exchange which has more potential since I find it hard to compete with Ethereum’s current network.

At the moment, we can't really say about a coin taking over from ethereum or being the next ethereum. The technology and smart contract platform provision for other tokens is what makes ethereum stands out and different. There is no coin that can offer that yet but probably in the future, a coin might emerge which will be close enough to be the next ethereum or surpass it. However, the closest coins at this moment to ethereum is Neo and waves in my opinion.

I think there will be no next Ethereum. There are no altcoins with the same characteristic with ETH. I doubt if there is another coin that can be like Ethereum in the future. I advise to not expect something like that, we are better to see the possible thing to happen.

There are many coins that have the same view as Ethereum, but yet all these coins mentioned does not reach ethereum's current stand yet, but in the future I am sure one or even not in the mentioned list will eventually take over ethereum, that's what I think.

I don't think that will be other coins as the next Ethereum. Ethereum has a special thing that others don't have. It is the platform using by many people and easy to use. I don't see other platforms/coins that have the same thing as Ethereum so far.

I think Litecoin can do that, kinda... not sure about the game changer thing, but feels like it's gonna be big. Also, who knows about Libra? It's definitely something... not that usual for the market, I'd say.

Today, I see there is several potential altcoins like ripple, ethereum, litecoin and EOS. Maybe one of them will be the next ethereum. For now, we will see the cryptocurrency is growing and still recover, maybe at about three years again we will see the stable market, and ethereum will be replaced by EOS.

I have not found a new coin that can follow in the footsteps of this Ethereum. Although I have heard that EOS is a coin which is said to replace Ethereum, because EOS has a more modern platform when compared to the Ethereum platform. But in reality up to now, EOS has not shown any of these signs, and Ethereum is still dashing at the top of the second Cryptocurrency on the Coinmarketcap List under Bitcoin.
