Can ethereum replace bitcoin?

I think this is too difficult because last 12 months ethereum performance is too bad thus lot of ethereum based projects are died and many ethereum investors still waiting for the profits because ethereum is still struggling to up.

I don't think I can say that actually, because I myself also believe that ethereum will also be difficult to replace as bitcoin, because bitcoin is also the most popular coin and the highest value

in my opinion, none of altcoin can replace bitcoin, including ethereum. it's too far for ethereum to be able to replace bitcoin. although ethereum is able to be second after bitcoin. it takes a long time for ethereum to be equivalent to bitcoin.

Bitcoin performs its specific function of a pioneer in cryptocurrency, and in this regard, no one can replace it. As the leader of the cryptocurrency, Bitcoin is likely to be ever replaced. Okay this is like so cute. Why did I not think of that? 
I would say that it is not going to happen anytime. But one can say that ETH is better replacement of BTC if not many people can afford it. They are both strong and hold the top 2 spot and will remain there as much as they can be.

A king doesn't rule forever, right? There is always a chance to be replaced by something/someone. It is the same as Bitcoin, it is not impossible to be replaced by Ethereum. But it is likely not in the near future, there is still no sign that Bitcoin is going to be weaker than Ethereum.
