Most of the time i see who creates a topic never answer any questions which has posted under his topic. I think they never check what they posted. Do the have any intention of learning or they just post to increase their rank?

I also found of them who created new thread (as topic starter) and they don't reply people who comments.
And I think if they don't reply while they reply on other member's thread or making new thread yes they only for increasing rank and point. As we know, point of normal post (comment) and topic starter is different.
So sad.

indeed it's good we check the posts that we make to find out the replies of the questions we made through posting with them our knowledge in this forum will increase so that in the future we will be even better.

Just be thankful that they create a topic that can be discussed by everyone even though OP didnt joined in the discussion

I think this is a good point. If it was lots of new topics, poorly written, without any replies underneath - it would be annoying. But as Goku01 said, people respond and it therefore provides quality discussions among other members, which is good overall in my opinion.
I think I still remember the days when few people would start new topics so this seems ok to me ;)

OP has a valid point. Thread starters could also interact with commenters and have a lively discussion. We are not even sure if the thread starter read the replies.

Not all, but I agree. Well, we cannot remove the fact that rankings do matter in this forum and the thought of achieving a higher rank is really inevitable within this virtual society. So instead of claiming the point, let's just go the other way around and achieve goals that are better than increasing ranks.

Sometime you will see two topicts with the same subject , its only about you to get quick a better rank.

I seldom see topic starters reply to their own thread. I do not know why but maybe they are not satisfied with the comments or they just don't care.

If they are not satisfied then they can specify why they are not satisfied. Then other can clarify more specifically. That's why response needed. Yes , I agree other members get benefits from the post by reading comments. It happened most of the time for me. Still i am not satisfied with this process.

Most like that. I think there are also many like that here, making topics in forums but never responding to users who provide information or input on the topic. Even though the posts given are important. What is clear is that they usually do not care and what they care about really just wants to increase rank.

Maybe they have not to say or they are waiting for a more constructive comment but the fact is if you have post you encourage those commenting in your post.

I am talking about the people who post about what they want to know. But i am not sure they just copy paste the post to increase rank or they really want to know.

Yes, right. Very often people and users here create topics and that just wants to raise their own rank. So when we dive into that topic and give a discussion, most of which make the topic do not appear and do not reply to our posts properly. I think that is their interest in their own rank.

I just read that admin has made some chages to the point system without informing the community as a counter to those who would game the system. More changes will be implemented soon to address these issues.

They only write posts to increase rank. Because there are only a few who actively communicate with people who make comments. Because the system is like this in the forum.

for my opinion it's normal to someone specially newbie just to raise their ranks for me i appreciate their efforts by doing this they create topic that encourage us to make comment regardless what thier aim in creating that topics

I think this forum will also start a merit system like bitcointalk. You need a minimum amount of karma to increase your rank. It will solve the problem.

But you can exchange your karma into ALTS. I guess, if it would be done for increasing a rank it would not be exchangeable. :)

For me, I don't think it is a most that OP will have to make replies to his thread, he could come and read, maybe get his own information (and drop if he has any), the thread is actually for discussion, maybe something that will be of use to other members of the forum.

You need a minimum amount of karma to increase your rank. It will solve the problem.

I thought karma gave you points (alts) but it's still not required to rank up, though some negative karma members might not be able to issue karma as a result of -K.

Thats very true, many people tend to post new threads on many groups without them visiting the places they made this posts on, so as to know if the questions or suggestions they give needs response from people checking the thread posted.

There is a possibility that they haven't just noticed it because there is no thing such as notification bell for your quoted post to notify for you maybe we need it in this forum hmmm?

What your money says is true, many do it. People make posts and leave them, even though there are many people who have answered these questions.

I am not sure what the rules were before but don't you need to actually post to get points? If you create a topic that is only one post. Would it not be better to create a topic and constatly reply to it? That would help you rank up very quickly while actually participating in the forum and in your topics. Someone explain this to me since I don't get it.

Yes, you earn points thru posting.
For topics started = 3 points
For replies to a thread = 1 point (usually) but admin can upgrade it to 3 points if it's constructive

Ideally, yes it is better to respond to replies in your own thread. Not only you are gaining points and activities, you also get to interact well with other members. But from what I observe and what I experience so far, some thread starters do not respond at all for some reason. In my case, I usually respond to questions and points that I have not raised in my original post. Often times, comments are just repetitive.

Honestly, since I became active here in the forum, I never experience to create a topic to make my rank increase.
Because most of the time I only replied or making posts through quotes of the others. So far, I got increased my rank now at Member position. Meaning, creating a new topic in this forum has no connection to increase our rank here.

Agree, Because if you are low rank you cannot participate on signature campaign, But im still waiting to achieve my rank goals because newbie like want to learn on this crypto world.

Yes some forum users post same topics several times but those post several times they are busy to increase ranks.

Wow, I really love this question and I must confess that this is becoming a very serious issue whereby someone with post a topic and will not even have the time to check on or answer to the questions which came up based on the topic which is why I feel that the topic posters did it just to increase rank.
