Cardano (ADA) is Finally Available On Ledger Nano S

Cardano (ADA) the cryptocurrency that just snatched the 10th spot has taken another major step that may push it even higher up the ladder. It has just been integrated with the popular Ledger Nano S hardware wallet.

According to an announcement on Ledger official blog, the integration among other things will ensure that users protect their private keys through Ledger’s hardware wallets and gain access to their ADA with enhanced security. Yoroi wallet, the native wallet developed by the official commercial arm of Cardano known as EMURGO is also fully compatible with Ledger Nano S, making this a much better experience for ADA users.

Ledger is a security and infrastructure solutions company for cryptocurrencies that has gained fame in the cryptocurrency industry through its security-focused hardware wallet Ledger Nano S.

The product has become so popular and is now the leader in hardware wallets with over 1.5 million Nano S sold globally already. Ledger tries to ensure the highest safety of its customers’ funds by storing private keys on the hardware wallets which happens to be the safest known way to secure such sensitive information.

The addition of ADA to the wallet has been requested by users for over a year now according to the CTO of EMURGO Nicolas Arqueros. In his words, Nicolas said:

“This is an event people have been looking forward to for the past year. I am especially thrilled to see many teams come together and cooperate on ground-breaking news in the industry. It foreshadows many more exciting commercial developments we have in store for Cardano in 2019.”

To confirm this, the CEO of Ledger Eric Larchevêque the Ledger community has also yearned for the partnership and is so glad that it has finally become a reality.

“Our integration with Cardano is something the Ledger community has been looking forward to for a long time. We are constantly working to respond to the needs of our customers, so we’re thrilled to officially welcome Cardano to the Ledger platform, offering ADA investors world-class security for their crypto assets.”

ADA has been favored in the last few days climbing up the ranking ladder to remove Tron from the 10th spot. It is the second highest gainer in the current green market with 9.96% after EOS which has gained 12.44%. The integration with Ledger will no doubt still push ADA higher as users get more confident about security.
