As long a there is a big demand for it from the investors, the SEC will eventually approve such facilities but with Ethereum this may take some time as there are things that need to be threshed out first. But popularity is not what SEC used to approved ETF, security is put into consideration because if a chain is comprised, everyone are at the risk of losing everything and seeing how ethereum is a centralized chain even when they claim to be decentralized, SEC will have to study their activities more for some observations before the approved any ETFs. Don't forget that SEC delay is also part of ways to reduce price manipulation from whales and individuals.

That's right, the SEC was intentional about leaving people to speculate about what made them delay the Ethereum ETF. In this way, Ethereum developers will focus more on immediately resolving problems that occur without interference from other people.
