Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling: for fun or to earn money?
« Last post by KingsDen on Today at 11:54:07 PM »
It seems to me that its entirely possible to combine the fun of gambling with earning money. if you are a professional sports bettor you can enjoy both the thrill and the income it brings. As for slots you can also play them for money but it's important to approach this responsibly. Don't quit your main job right away! :)
Jokes aside. it's true that we all love money but anything that clouds a clear mind is not a winning strategy.
There's every possiblity to enjoy both the fun that comes with gambling as well as earning good money from the game but for you to achieve that, you must learn how to gamble majorly because of the fun as that will significantly help you to make good decisions that will give you good winnings at the end of the day. But when a gambler engages in gambling majorly because of his desire to earn from gambling, he's very likely to lose both the fun of the game as well as his desire to earn money from gambling. So in a nutshell, it's not a bad idea to earn from gambling as it requires ones finances to engage in it but that shouldn't make a gambler to prioritize how much he'll earn at the end of the day over the fun of the game of gambling

Cryptocurrency discussions / Re: Anonymity - good or bad?
« Last post by bettercrypto on Today at 11:51:34 PM »
Anonymity has its good and bad side , but due to its bad side, the government have been reluctant accepting bitcoins and other cryptocurrency.
BTC tx's are not anonymous, but pseudonymous, and the only way to achieve anonymity is through mixers or CoinJoin. BTC is legal in so many countries, and a lot of others are indifferent about it, but BTC is decentralized, so the government will see no need for it, but they simply want to regulate it for their citizens and stop them from using privacy solutions to achieve anonymity, that is why they are after privacy solutions.

and so this also the reason why they are trying to KYC those wallets and almost turn self custody as a crime. there are already bills supposedly being passed by law makers about this. but i'm not sure if its going to be approved. but governments these days are crazy, it wouldn't be surprising to see them approved.

and then they also want to tax i think 25% for unrealized gains from property investors. to which afaik, BTC is considered a property asset in US.

Here in our country, especially in the coming times, it looks like crypto enthusiasts will be taxed here, I just hope the percentage that will be deducted from our crypto earnings is not high.

There is nothing we can do because we are also ordinary law abiding citizens in that regard, although for now anonymous but once the platform we entered is regulated we have no choice but to give or pass Kyc and that's it.

This night in Spanish La Liga, Robert Lewandowski scored a hat trick including two late goals to help his Barcelona team grab all three points from their home game against Valencia. With the result, Barcelona have now overtaken Girona to climb back to the second position of the Spanish La Liga standings. Also Barcelona with the result reduced Real Madrid's lead at the top of the league to eleven points but despite the reduction tonight, I don't think it's ever going to stop the current league leaders drop winning the Spanish La Liga title at the end of the season. Barcelona I don't even think are in any way trying to fight for the title because they know it'll be almost impossible for them to overtake Real Madrid but one thing I've noticed is that Barcelona just wants to win as many games as possible in their remaining league fixtures just to make sure they remain stay positive and energized for next season

Cryptocurrency discussions / Re: What Altcoins Do you have?
« Last post by Gyrgen on Today at 11:45:26 PM »
ALT coins are risky and you have to wait for the right time to sell it. :-\ As I have first time invested in different ALT coins with a good usecase and they are all listed on a reputable exchange. My list contains Movr, CTXC, Matic, ENA mainly but now because of the BTC dump, I am in huge loss  :'( but I am still positive for the Bull run, so will wait for the Huge pump.
Goodluck in waiting for this huge pump, what use cases do these coins have, you said you invested in altcoins with good use cases, it is very hard to find an altcoin that is useful, so what made you believe this coins give that. Next time i will recommend you buy BTC and not many useless altcoins.
Not everything is as bad as you are trying to paint. These useless altcoins are what create the market if you know what I mean. If there were only Bitcoin, such a word as a crypto market would not exist. A bunch of altcoins in percentage terms of growth show much better results than Bitcoin. The main thing is time of them exit to take profit.

I think it's possible to invest at this time even if the price of Bitcoin is currently at 63K, because in the bull market of 2025, the price of Bitcoin is more likely to touch $200,000 than 180K.
Likely touched, not certain that it will. The majority of investors in the crypto space have a said price they are going to sell their bitcoin holding. Some will sell for $100k-$150k, and some will even sell above depending on their price target of what they think the price of bitcoin could reach in 2025. Whatever price one has at heart, let them not miss to sell some parts of their bitcoin holdings at a high price. It will be pathetic if, at the end of the bull run, one misses to sell some part of their bitcoin at a high price.

I also keep assets on the exchange, because I am a trader. but I always monitor my wallet and try to guard it. We cannot say that it is dangerous to store assets on an exchange, if we store them on a reputable exchange like Binance it is safe.
I think everyone does the same way. We probably keep our assets in exchange wallets, too. However, we must understand that we don't keep too many assets in exchange wallets because it is risky. The top CEXs like Binance is quite secure although it is not the best place to store our crypto coins. As far as I know, if there is a hack or something bad to happen, they want to help us. I also keep some of my assets there because I often trade them.
As long as it is for the purpose of carrying out trading activities, of course, there are still many who save on exchanges, but I am very sure that only exchanges can be trusted. I agree, that for Binance there is no worry about placing it and I also do that, but in other places, of course, I will think about it as best as possible before placing it. It is true that everyone is afraid of hacking, therefore looking for a reliable one is mandatory. If possible, don't store it for too long. This can also be done if there is fear.
Are you serious now? Even the top ones shouldn’t be trusted, there are a lot of precedents. You should keep there exactly as much as you think you need for trading. Everything else is not in any case. And the point is not even that the exchange can be hacked, the exchange itself can stupidly freeze your funds in connection with any proceedings.

-snip-
Meanwhile, on the other hand, altcoins are quite different. Only the top altcoins can be trusted at least a little. And it also remains a high risk. We might remember how it was with that top coin LUNA. In fact, we didn't expect that Luna would actually go bankrupt and end up becoming a shit coin.
There will be no 100% confidence in the top coins, we also need to be vigilant, LUNA is indeed one of the real indicators of how the top coins can become a scam in just a few hours and this drags many other coins that end up also dumping.

Who owns LUNA that time suffered a lot of losses, even after the LUNA v2 snapshoot will also not return their money in full and More losses.

         -     What you say is true, mate, and many Luna holders have lost money, and their funds have been stuck here. Isn't that lunch now? If I check, that coin is still listed on most exchange site platforms. Maybe because somehow it still achieved the requirements quota in each exchange.

But, of course, don't expect it to return to its previous and original price in the market. Maybe even if it gets pumped, it won't really be like before because the hyped thing has really ended, and I also think it will be really difficult with the high expectations.
It's really impossible for a LUNA to came back to it's original price. LUNA is much stronger now than before where there's a low chance to get dump easily. The marketcap is still huge and this means LUNA still have big investors. But since they broke already the trust of their previous investors, it's hard for them to trust again that's why it can be one of the reason why it's impossible for the price to go back to it's original price. But I still hoping that someday that this coin is going to be huge again.

What will really happen there in LUNA? LUNC is now a massive pump that will be controlled by its whale investors or manipulators. Then it is also true that his daily volume is still high. And based on its price, the price is low, but the volume is still good somehow.

That means even if you buy only 20 dollars and if, in the upcoming bull run, it also rallies, even if it is only 1 dollar each, you can still make a lot of money when you buy. That's concept trading; as long as there are still many whale investors, there is still a fight that can be considered compared to the time when the Luna or Ftx issue was still fresh.

I have missed most of the play2earn games that were in trend during last years, but since an old-school gamer and pixel game lover, I gave a chance to game named https://play.pixels.xyz/. The only reason why I have started playing are graphics, and the game does not require to be in it 24/7. I have played during their "airdrop" period, probably 15-20 a day for 3 weeks, and then visited it from time to time. When its token got listed on Binance year I was pleasantly rewarded with few thousand worth token. Never before gaming ever rewarded me before.

This pixel is quite noisy at the moment, which is often seen on YouTubers who make content about Pixel games. And so far, the response and activeness of its gamers in Defi games are good.

So, right now, I'm still in the learning stage here in pixel games, so while doing it, I'm also doing dca here somehow because I also see a potential that is good to hold in the long term because I also see a massive rally when Bitcoin starts to take off.
