Bugs & Tech support / Re: Unsaved sent messages
« on: January 16, 2024, 06:40:29 PM »
Thank you, I have changed it. But it's the second time I've seen a counter-intuitive thing that I have to change by going to my options. The first was that when I replied to a thread, the thread disappeared and I was redirected to the forum overview. The second is this. I think the logical thing to do is to have the option for the emails you send to be saved by default and if you don't want it to be removed.

Some settings must be defined by default. Everything you mentioned is settings that come with account registration but it is possible to adjust them. as long as there is a possibility to edit and adapt the functions of the forum according to your needs, we should not consider it a problem.

I say this as a possible suggestion for improvement. I don't know if @admin will read this.

admin is everywhere, he will surely see this, although I'm sure he already knows and has gotten similar suggestions before. Although I believe that his answer will not differ much from what I wrote above.

Bitcoin Forum / Re: Mempool Observer - Discussion about Bitcoin Fees
« on: January 16, 2024, 05:18:02 PM »
Did you make any changes? It doesn't appear for me.

The tool is designed so that the image always shows the current fee. The moment you reloaded the page or post where it was shared, regardless of when it was posted. Also, you don't need to use the "code" tag.
So for example, this (posted without a code tag)

Code: [Select]

will show like this (you will see that the same values are here and in the first bitmover's post)

I suggest you visit https://bitcoindata.science for more info

It seems like I'm having problems with the steps I've done, please explain, where did I go wrong when installing TOR Browser?

Are you sure you are connected to the TOR network?

If you use the TOR browser, this is the proper link you need to use. No need for clearnet site (at least what can be seen on your screenshot)
http://unijoinxaogdzmk3bonngoxxoaezkmsfdyrtfyximisungh2dnc2azad.onion/

btw. Everything works fine by my side.

Forum related / Discussion about Altcoins Talks Shop
« on: January 15, 2024, 03:30:22 PM »
Well, the admin started a shop for some additional features on the forum.
For those who haven't seen it, here: Altcoins Talks Shop

Since the shop thread is only for those who buy some of the offered features, I will open this thread for discussion, I am very interested in the opinions of other members. I will mention only one part, the one that probably interests all members the most, anyway, everyone should visit the shop thread for more info.

What is available to buy ?

1- Features/ Abilities:
- Notify reply ability   >> Ask for notification when there is a reply on a topic. >>> Burn 10$ worth of ALTT token
- Notify new topic  >> Ask for notification when there is a new topic in a specific section. >>> Burn 5$ worth of ALTT token
- Delete own reply >> Be able to delete your own posts. >>> Burn 5$ worth of ALTT token
- Delete own topic >> Be able to delete your own topics. >>> Burn 10$ worth of ALTT token
- Move own topic >> Be able to move your own topics. >>> Burn 20$ worth of ALTT token
- Lock their own topic >> Be able to lock your own topics. >>> Burn 10$ worth of ALTT token
- Delete replies to own topics >> Be able to delete replies to your own topics. >>> Burn 10$ worth of ALTT token
- Lock own poll >> Be able to lock own polls. >>> Burn 5$ worth of ALTT token
- Delete own poll >> Be able to delete own polls. >>> Burn 10$ worth of ALTT token
- Edit own poll >> Be able to edit own polls. >>> Burn 10$ worth of ALTT token
- Create event on calendar >> Be able to create events on the calendar. >>> Burn 100$ worth of ALTT token
- Ability to set a custom title for themselves>> Be able to choose a custom title for yourself. >>> Burn 5$ worth of ALTT token
- Lock anyone's topic >> Be able to lock anyone's topic. >>> Burn 100$ worth of ALTT token

I am personally of the opinion that some things are excessive, and several things from this offer should certainly be a regular possibility on the forum. Especially the part about deleting your own posts. It simply happens, a wrong post and without the possibility of removal, it already turns into spam.
Yes, I understood that it was due to the manipulation of forum points, but I would certainly try to solve it differently, for example by deducting the same points for each deleted post.

Next, until now I received an email notification for the first reply in a discussion in which I participate, from now on it is only a paid feature?

Also, to have the possibility of locking your topic, most often in the prevention of spam, it is necessary to pay. I'm not sure I understand the point, except that it's somehow discouraging users from opening new discussions, because they can never finish it.

Personally, I don't have a big problem even under the current conditions, but I have the feeling that it is set up incorrectly and too much work is burdened on the moderators. Isn't it easier for me to just send the admins a link to the post that needs to be deleted or the thread that needs to be locked?

Finally, I am certainly not against Altcoinstalk collecting additional funds, but I believe that this may not be the best way because this forum still needs to be strengthened and to achieve that, it is necessary to facilitate its use as much as possible.

note: Still, the most important required feature is not available (mention notification), I hope that one moment when bitmover finishes it, it will not be too expensive  ::)

That is a tool, nice work again  ;)

I don't know if you may have overlooked it, but it would also be handy to display the time on a horizontal line on this chart. It would make reading the chart much easier.

also, not sure why don't you add a source (bitcoindata.science/API for example) to your graphics, maybe even a link if possible.

Gambling discussion / Re: Do you tell your husband you gamble?
« on: January 14, 2024, 12:45:24 PM »
Yes you are correct, is actually midnight here and I woke up to see if I can read some of this discussion and I wanted to telling yesterday eve and noticed that he was not in a cool mood, so decided to shift it till morning or anytime I noticed he is more happier. Though he knows that I do post on both forum even when I am awake he knew that I must be posting and doesn't access through my profile. But still I appreciate for your time and contribution +karma for you!

You can start more smartly. For example, when there is the next campaign or reward for testing or reviewing gambling platforms, just explain what it is about. You get $xx for testing and you have to play on the platform for $xx to write a real review, I'm sure he will understand. Maybe you can even ask him to help you, to add some suggestions, that way he will become a part of it and will not only blame you.

What?
How where you able to overcome that seeing girls with their underwear, don't you get triggered and how was your wife able to cope with you?
I know this is hard to explain but sometimes they have no option than to accept provided that you are earning ends meet over there.

I was extremely professional at the time, and as I presented it at home, I would have to be a master of lying to cover something up. Of course, I didn't convey all the details of what I saw there.  :-X
What is interesting is that trust only grew stronger then.

I think instead of adding payouts it seems like adding new slots is also a good option because the brand will be more spread out across the forums.
Cheers,

If you were manager, what would you do?
Add $0.1 per post to each participant or recruit two or three more new participants. With $0.1 more per post, you would not make super happy anyone, while three new posters can bring much more to the discussion.
easily.  ;)

email newsletter sent directly from forum software , no third parties
- ads in the newsletter
- no email shared

You know you had to have (due to GDPR) in each newsletter email an "unsubscribe" option? Without it, the domain can be penalized and blacklisted easily. Now I don't remember my registration process, but somewhere during it, there must have been a question about consent to receiving non-system (newsletter) emails.

Cryptocurrency discussions / Re: TIPS FOR DOING AIRDROPS
« on: January 13, 2024, 03:26:22 PM »
I obviously think that airdrops are not really worth wasting one's precious time and data on because they will only pay you little or nothing that can compensate for all the time and data you will spend just to carry out those required activities that will qualify you to earn from them.

Out of a thousand of them, one airdrop brings a more significant reward, of course, this immediately increases interest and raises the hope that there will be more "rich" airdrops.
However, as far as I've seen, it's no longer just a simple registration, it's also necessary to be active, make transactions, stake, etc It's too much for me.

OP advises multi-accounting to participate in airdrops  :o

*Use a VPN with a fake IP address for creating additional combo accounts to avoid potential IP-based checks.

Bitcoin Forum / Re: ETF Approval, do we have reason to celebrate?
« on: January 13, 2024, 03:15:06 PM »
it is a good time to celebrate ATF  approved, cheers....
But why after ETF approved, bitcoin goes dump..
almost all of altcoins price is going down now.

First, the news that the ETF would not be approved was announced, and this caused the value of Bitcoin to rise. However, when the ETF approval is confirmed, the value of Bitcoin drops dramatically in the short term. Sounds twisted, doesn't it?

I try to buy more several potential to add my coin collection.
Hopefully crypto will  shine again soon.
Because too long to wait bullish season, I have need in my life.

Remember, invest only what you can afford to lose. Also, it does not have a profit until the investment cycle is completed.

Forum related / Re: Karma - thank/punish
« on: January 12, 2024, 04:46:33 PM »
If a user is a scammer(proven or unproven) and got -karma, can they just send ALTS and lose the neg karma?

Karma issuance has been restricted from Senior Members and above. You can only give + karma to the same account every 10 hours at least I have this limitation. It seems that it is a long process and requires Senior member accounts for this endeavour. In essence, it is possible, but quite complicated.

Are scammers able to buy themselves outta the sin bin is the question? If so, will this policy change? I know it's a friendly forum, but I feel like we should consider protecting members a little.

Do you mean about this?
Remove strikes, penalties and negative karma, the easiest way

guys before you get all up in arms,
1- we do not have btt's funds, we have a small treasury used for everything including providing liquidity to our token.

I don't know anything about the funds that this forum has, I believe it is nowhere near as rich as BTT, and that's why I will support almost any monetization model here. However, I am against sending advertising PMs and emails. It is certainly tolerable once or twice a year as you say.

I also don't know what the activity was like before the mixer saga and how much it changed after, I believe there is a significant difference. It is to be expected that there will be more activities, and only the quality can maintain such a level. This alone will bring more earning potential for the forum itself.

Nope. I just happened to post their ann thread way before Royse took over their sig campaign due to some unfortunate incident.
If they want me to remove this thread and post it on their own, I'd be happy to; tho, I haven't received any requests yet, so, here we are.

Does anyone have any contact with the Yomix team?
After everything related to mixers on BTT, I believe that the best choice for Yomix is to come to this forum to interact with its users.
@julerz12, are you considering contacting them again and referring them to this thread?

New project + investment + beginners. What could go wrong?

Now there are lots of new projects and they make promises to investors so that the project progresses, after the project progresses and the coins are sold until they reach the target, then the project party runs away and abandons its customers, causing harm to many people..

These are not any projects but scam schemes. Unfortunately, new projects are only for experienced people who will still find a way to recognize potential fraud. Everyone, especially beginners, shouldn't invest in something they don't understand, and it's a bit unclear to me why this is being ignored.
