Karma is basically worthless here - it is not as large as in Bitcointalk, it won't help you get into any campaigns, and nobody really cares much about it in general. I don't know why someone would waste their time farming karma on this forum.
it is human nature to like to be rewarded. any kind of satisfaction raises self-confidence, I guess that suits everyone.

If we talk about campaigns, there are a few missing here, that's a fact. The fact that two campaigns have now stopped significantly complicates the development of this forum.

Signature Campaigns / Re: Altcoinstalks Signature Campaign Observer
« on: May 05, 2024, 10:58:37 AM »
Unfortunately, two campaigns are most likely finished on the forum  :(
Tumbler and Unijoin are on Hold

It seems the site is unavailable (both tor and clear url). I need to know the reason and for that I need to hear from the team. I will contact the them and until I hear from them or no response at all, the campaign is on a hold.

Payment for last week will send later today. You are free to remove bio information that is related to Tumbler.

The campaign is currently suspended / Remove signatures and avatars.

I am currently unable to contact UniJoin. It seems their website is now down and their Twitter account has been deleted (or suspended).

Therefore, until the circumstances are clarified, I will rename the thread to “Closed” and delete links leading to the site.

What comes to my mind is that they suspended work like Wasabi did.

Still that is open or not?

Yes.
If you are interested we can do that after Tuesday, I'm not at my computer right now until then.
A very simple task, it is enough to connect the Metamask wallet to the platform and to write an opinion about what Zenland offers.

Well, we have three mixers that have been offline for some time and we don't have any information from them. I'll wait another day in case it's maintenance before I remove them from the list.
tumbler.io
unijoin.io
cryptomixer.io

A similar thing happens with the Unijoin mixer. The site is unavailable, as are other channels of communication. The manager just closed the campaign and removed the links to their services because he has no contact with the team.

6
Danger: Do not trust random mixer lists found on Google search!
So you are saying that we should only trust your list, Bitmixlist?  ;D

Many of these lists are automatically generated, and very often they are outdated representing mixers that are a thing of the past. Updating such lists is the most important part of the job, and as far as we can see, there have been a lot of changes lately.
Also, most of those lists were adequate at the beginning with correct links. Some of them eventually turn into scams or phishing, because there is probably more profit that way than the regular way.

I suppose that the maintenance was not planned for, it's possible that whatever lead to the maintenance came up all of a sudden, as I personally believe that if the maintenance was planned, then there should have been an announcement of the maintenance a day before; or several hours away before the time the maintenance is scheduled, but all good by the way..
Looking forward to your review.

These days we have a lot of instability in the operation of some Coinjoin services. (Whether it's a coincidence or not, it coincides with the problem that the Samurai wallet developers ran into). I wouldn't be surprised if it's about emergency maintenance to avoid a similar (Samurai) scenario.

By the way, I have finally received my mixed coin, it came three hours ago. I can now proceed with my review.
I'm glad that the mixing process went well, you could do some risk score analysis of the Bitcoins you got after mixing

I have over 0.033BTC trapped in there or almost $2,000 at today's prices.

The domain doesn't even resolve anymore so I'm going to consider the money gone, it wouldn't be the first time I've lost that amount anyway.
This is a solid amount. It's a shame if you don't get paid for your efforts.
Why did you wait so long to ask for affiliate account activation?

is it trapped on the website? I am confused as to where your coin is stuck. I am still being paid for signature. But I do not want to advertise a site that has frozen funds.

Funds for the signature campaign are escrowed with the manager, this is affiliate profit. Percentage of earnings from clients he brought to the Tumbler site. Two different sources of funds.

Thanks. The rate is not bad just N130 less than the current rate on P2p Exchanges but it's quite manageable. What part does Bestchange play against scam on these exchanges?

BestChange monitors their business, and reserves also for each exchanger's reputation on BC is significant. Regardless, no one can guarantee that a service did not turn into an exit scam at some point.

And why are these exchanges requesting for KYC?  Thought they're unregulated exchanges.

If fiat is one of the currencies part of the swap process, you have already done some kind of KYC, since a bank account is needed to receive/send currency (in your case, NGN). A good number of instant exchangers are registered, mostly in crypto-friendly zones, but certainly, they are legal entities. Therefore, they have to operate within certain limits.

Forum related / Re: AltcoinsTalks Telegram Notifier !!!
« on: May 04, 2024, 10:22:19 PM »
Is this something I should be worried about? Or just a little glitch? I was mentioned and the notification can into my phone seven times.

I don't think there is anything to worry about, at least not when it comes from this Altt bot.
My Telegram also went wild, I got several notifications for the same post.

I assume that this is part of this "planned" testing

Resources is not a problem, i guess it's more like the hosting service itself and also the CPU usage. This change will be temporary only as i see it's effective than before which is 10 mins interval, i may change it little by little in the the new few days for testing.

Total capitulation, huh?

Add to that the Tumbler mixer becoming unavailable https://www.altcoinstalks.com/index.php?topic=320992 , pretty bad days for Bitcoin & privacy
 :(

So far there have been no problems with this mixer, we have not seen any scam accusations or anything similar, at least not in the current limited circumstances. They were quite professional at Btt, so I would still have a dose of reserve for some time.
It is certainly a bad thing if another service like this leaves the crypto ecosystem.

Tumbler is behind ddos-guard.net, it's possible that it's just a matter of protection, but the server where it was pointed until now is unavailable

Let's see how this works for them, and if it wasn't too late.
Probably next is mandatory KYC....
Smart play from Wasabi team, but there is no guarantee this will protect them from anything.

They Wasabi went a step further. Shutting down its Coinjoin service, effective from June 1st, 2024.
https://blog.wasabiwallet.io/zksnacks-is-discontinuing-its-coinjoin-coordination-service-1st-of-june/

Wasabi Wallet will continue to function as a regular bitcoin wallet, users can generate private keys to receive and send bitcoin. Even without coinjoins, Wasabi’s client-side filtering architecture, Tor integration and custom coin selection make it the most private light wallet available. However, the nature of the bitcoin blockchain prevents users from obtaining complete privacy without coinjoins.

Forum related / Re: Badges that encourage spamming the forum..
« on: May 04, 2024, 03:37:41 AM »
Badges are achievements.  Basically rewards.
I don't think adding a badge for this is appropriate, semantically.

Maybe the user could have a red dot under his username or something like that with an ALT text written "25 posts per day"

I agree here, spam should not be encouraged in any way, even if it was just an additional badge next to the username.

However, for example in this case, it turned out to be useful, the user received a warning and seems to have slightly adjusted his participation in the forum after that.

Without going to the website, I don't like what I see.
OP, you have a lot of negative karma, which means that you spammed or showed some bad behavior here, it is certainly not good for representing a business that depends on the trust gained.
On top of all that, you are trying to give more authority here with fake accounts and fake positive feedback, which is quite bad.

If we are talking about the service that is the subject of this topic, are you just intermediaries, since this interface seems very similar to some I have already seen? (maybe I will do a more detailed analysis later)
