Everything is measured in BTC.  So if BTC goes down in USD then everything else does in terms of USD.  You should be measuring crypto in terms of BTC not USD

The coins will continue to suffer the depreciation of Bitcoin until sellers and buyers of those coins change their orders accordingly, to suit the previous market price

Because btc keeps rank 1 among all the coins. if the coin number 1 decreases then the next coin will follow the price drop. there is rarely the opposite coin when bitcoin has decreased in price.
