No, it cannot continue like this. In crypto currency, for every increase in price of a token, an altcoin or bitcoin itself; there is always going to be a retrace that takes the price down for a while, or for a long while. And this is why it is possible to have etherum worth 80$ few months back like March, 2020 and then have etherum closer to 400$ in August.

1k is possible at most with ETH2.0 upgrade with Ethereum scalability. I dnt expect much in Ethereum hype as it might bring disappointment. It's always better when you sell some at every profit.

I don't know if you have noticed this year crypto growth compare to the previous ones, isn't like before. The market has to be ballance. There wouldn't be growth if 90% long  positions and 10% short position.

There is always imminent correction or flash crash when market grows in parabolic path especially with the large market caps

Basically the market is volatile which changes all the time depends on less or more demands. Usually ethereum price climb now then afterwards decline. That's how market flow. So eth price can be on 500 dollars or decline to 250 dollars or will depend on market development.

Ethereum's volatility will not let the price continue to surge without a retracement. It may not be a significant fall but the price has to fall alittle to be able to increase further. I guess the testnet upgrade will do the magic
