What is the cause of pending ETH transactions

Most likely this is because of network overload, or it may well be that you simply have very few gwei, so you may have problems with transactions!  Try to find out the reason in any search engine!

chances are your gwei set is too low because I've experienced it before with low set gwei my delivery was delayed quite a long time and sometimes failed.

chances are you don't set the gas according to the standard https://ethgasstation.info/. usually there will be a delay if you don't set it according to the ethgasstation.

if you have set it according to the ethgasstation, usually the network is busy, and you can try higher than the specified standard. i hope that will answer your question.
