Are we about to have another altcoin rally?

As we all know Bitcoin broke above $20K to make a new all time high, even going as far as nearly $23,750 (so far).

Is this another opportunity to divest into altcoins? Will Bitcoin continue to outperform altcoins or are alts about to shine again?

Personally I think there's a good chance alts are going to see bounce back before the end of the year

Against the background of bitcoin, altcoins now seem to be weak, but then, after fixing the profit on bitcoins, investors will turn their attention to altcoins and a bull run will begin.  History always repeats itself so why not start the rally this year or early next year.

As I recall, in 2017 the Altcoin price increase was almost the same as the Bitcoin price when Bitcoin reached ATH that year. But for now that's not the case, Bitcoin has gone up a lot but Altcoins are still calm. 
But there is nothing wrong if we try to invest in Altcoins, who knows the price of Altcoins will also reach a new ATH. But my advice, still choose Altcoins that are in the top ranks that have reached high ATH in 2017. And I recommend choosing Ethereum and BCH.

I understand, I also think this is more than possible, even go lower to 20. For now the support has held for over a year, so I think it can continue holding.

This I agree with, too much invested in small cap coins and quickly get your rekt. The blue chip altcoins are better.

Altcoins are definitely going to bounce but I don't think its going to happen this year, the year is almost over with just few days left to cross over, lets just say that even if altcoins are going to move, it will have to be next year probably,

But on the other hand, I have this feeling that altcoins aren't really going to make any significant movement like it did in 2017/2018 cus that's what everyone is expecting, people are expecting altcoins to move rapidly like bitcoin did but I have this feeling that the opposite will be the case, though this is not what I pray for.

In any case, altcoins are still very far behind the rate of growth in prices for bitcoin. Even Ethereum lags behind bitcoin, given the ratio of rates in 2017. I believe that this gap will narrow in the near future, or at least early in 2021. Therefore, altcoin should not be ignored by investors.

i have always said it that there is a UNIQUE flow of money in this cryptocurrency of a thing. the first batch of inflow comes from bitcoin. once there is an increase in BTC PRICE, the next flow moves down to the top cryptocurrency in the list(XRP, BCH, LTC and the rest) after which it flows down to the rest midcap altcoins. first into DEFI and then down to new projects before going out or back to btc.

I still stick with altcoins and don't want to invest in bitcoin yet, because I think bitcoin prices tend to be unstable and drop easily, in contrast to popular altcoins like BCH or ETH which are less volatile. I still believe in altcoin season, but not this year, but next year.

I do not think that this year, we will see some movement in altcoins. Most likely, this year will remain purely for bitcoin. Well, next year may well surprise us. Maybe it will be the year of the violas.

Definitely we are going to have a another Altcoins rally but not all these Altcoins would rally again especially those 2017/2018 projects, that have no funds again for development, If I were you I will be looking into these projects treasury before investing in them, if it pump, it is just a pure Pump and dump

Yeah on next year each and every one of them will be in at its ATH like we saw it previously on 2017-2018. So next correction will be the last chance to take entry on it.

I'm holding several alts on my wallet and I too waiting for the bull run to happen. The current surge of BTC doesn't force alts to move along upward. I guess, the numbers of alternatives coins in the crypto world has a big impact for not surging the price. The large volume of funds is widely filling up the crypto space for alts coins and could not push the price up.

In my opinion, the altcoins season will take place in 2021 and is led by three major platforms: Ethereum, Cardano & TRON. They are 3 blockchain platforms that have big growth in 2020, have a large community and will make a difference for DeFi projects in 2021: cheaper costs, safer smart contracts, high transaction speed... I mean the whole DeFi market and not just DeFi projects based on liquidity pool.
