In my opinion ethereum will not be able to take over the role of bitcoin this year or the year to come. Bitcoin will still continue to be the number one cryptocurrency at the moment and ethereum is one of the existing competitors.

Yes, it's possible in the future maybe but not this year. Take note that they're not of the same technology as they are two different creations. Currently, the price of Bitcoin is $4,035.02 while Eth is $141.82, so I think Eth will never be valued as high as Bitcoin up to the end of 2019.

This is impossible, not a single altcoin can outrun bitcoin price, how many times do not try, this is impossible, because the main investors and manipulators invest most of their money into bitcoin and it is more profitable for them to raise the price of bitcoin to earn more.

You are forgetting the common rule in crypto. If Bitcoin drops, everything (including your beloved ETH) drops. The rule applies even today but with one or two exceptions of course. Eth, for now, has not really established itself yet as a coin that will overtake bitcoin.

In a nutshell, there are no chances now (ie in 2019) or in near future that ETH will overtake Bitcoin even as they say that in crypto anything can happen, but i obviously think that ETH overtaking Bittcoin is not possible.

But it's not  impossible because there was a time when etheruem price was over $1000.

I support all crypto prices, but as I know Bitcoin and ETH have many members of the community, the price movements to compete with the price of bitcoin are very complicated. I can only hope but market conditions will determine the rank of a coin.
