I am very optimistic that 2019 will surpass the 2017 in bitcoin price history. History is gonna reapeat itself once agian!
As for ETH, it is growing gradually and may follow the bitcoin trend.

No, Ethereum will never be able to take over Bitcoin.  Bitcoin is the king of Cryptocurrency and has the highest price, and Ethereum is still far below Bitcoin even though Ethereum is also a good coin and has high potential.  But my hope is, 2019 will be a good year for Cryptocurrency.

i dont think that the ethereum will ever overtake bitcoin in my whole life. bitcoin is the source of all this crypto currency community so overtaking by another coin (not just ethereum) is very unlikely. I prefer steady and healthy price growth for ethereum, there is a saying that  if you rocket too soon you can fall very hard. so steady growth is better.

 Because I see altcoins  are still struggling now.  Bitcoin is still superior  and growing.

I think it will not happen because still ethereum price is too low as well as ethereum domination is decreasing in cryptomarket also ERC20 projects are almost died so this is not possible in this year.

No way for Bitcoin domination ends soon. Ethereum or other altcoins are still far away to defeat Bitcoin. Bitcoin controls everything, altcoin's prices are influenced by Bitcoin price. These factors have big rules and make Bitcoin will be always leading altcoins.

It seems it is now impossible to reach or surpass the all time high price as the year is almost near to an end and 2020 will not emerge. I am closing my mind that Bitcoin will no longer overtake the 2017 price high.

Ethereum is not stagnant and it it also impossible to surpass  the 2017 price. I am closing the possibility of $1k to be seen this year as I see the.market for ethereum is very slowly in progress and the slight movement up will turn the holders to dump their holding. As we see ethereum reaching $240 it suddenly collapse and now turning the.price to lower as much as $160.

In 2019 for etherum to over take Bitcoin how possible could that be, am not doubting the possibilities but first of all you have evaluate the price distance between bitcoin and etherum you will know that eth still has a long way to come to that level it will overtake bitcoin in price value but not this year 2019

Nope, don't see it happening any time soon. It was released few years after Bitcoin and yet it couldn't reach the highest $1500 or more.
Edit: Realized that the question was posted long time ago, but I believe my point still stands.

No chance, Bitcoin is dominating the cryptocurrency market, having more than 50% of the marketcap, ethereum is nowhere near bitcoin right now, or not even in one or two or three years, bitcoin will always be given the high value as it is the first ever cryptocurrency to be created and acknowledge by everybody.
