There were hundreds of ICOs in 2017 and even more in 2018. According to a study (don't remember the source), more than 70% of them were scams and they all decided to liquidate their ethers at the same time which was the major contributing factor to the fall in prices of ethereum. It'll stabilize after some time.

Thats attributed to the price as well. The smart contract by eth is really a good product that has been introduced on the cryptomarket. Many used it to perform ICOs to launch their own project and still being utilize until now. But the problem here are its so easy to learn on how to do it in a manner of tutorial plus professional can easily learn it. Im not totally believe that this is the cause alone. Why? Eth has no development incurred on the last 6months from it roadmap. Investors are looking for growth with this type of project. In addition, fuds are spawning everywhere regarding scam icos using eth. I can see this can be reverse once casper protocol iniaited right away.

There is several reason why ethereum is going down. I think The value of bitcoin affect ethereum and he negative issue against ethereum.

Almost 15% now loss. It's easy to understand mate. Eth has been pegged and paired with a lots of coins/tokens right? There is a tendency that some funds are being move to ICO projects as eth price slightly cheaper and can benefit on investing it on some solid ICO. It's not that eth is not legit but some user traded them.for these kind of reasons. Mostly are traders than investors that why its stumble like that.
