In my opinion, ethereum is quite a shadow of bitcoin

Ethereum can't be the next bitcoin, its a different project and it's still dependent on bitcoin. No doubt, its very unique and has lots of potentials but being a substitute to bitcoin is not going to happen.

in my opinion it's very hard to eth become the second bitcoin, with this time the price eth just recover but it's a little if we compare it in 2017, so i think btc is the best and  no altcoin can change or replace in near future

It is good that etherum is rising so fast but I don't think it will over take Bitcoin over night, it can only be chasen Bitcoin behind to reach maybe $500 this year but that doesn't mean it will over take Bitcoin in ranking.

Yeah, I agree with you. It seems hard for Ethereum to overtake Bitcoin. There are many supports for Bitcoin that make it survives and be stronger for years. I think as long as Bitcoin holds its principles, it will always be the number 1 in crypto space.

Ethereum will still be Ethereum, and Ethereum will not be able to catch Bitcoin, Bitcoin is the number one coin and this cannot be replaced.  And Ethereum is indeed a good coin but forever It will never be able to replace Bitcoin, even though Ethereum has the advantage of Bitcoin.  Such as smart contracts and transaction speeds and costs that are far cheaper than Bitcoin.
