       -   Honestly speaking, I did some research on old coins, and I discovered that most of the old coins started when the intensity of the hype that they did before and the others that became their ATH was too much when they started to enter the crypto space, then when there was a massive drop in price and they were no longer able to reach or surpass their previous ATHs.

Although others continued to raise their tokens as time went by, others remained stagnant because they didn't do any innovation with their tokens, unlike ETH, which, even though it took a long time, the innovation was continuous.

You are right, many coins, as you mentioned, experience hype and touch ATH and then find it difficult to touch ATH again. but if their team consistently improves by having a marketing team for good promotions, the coin will become hype again and reach ATH, and also improvements to the project must be carried out regularly so that users don't abandon it.

Yeah, this is also the reason why there is a view in the market that we are only speculating on the cycle and not investing in long-term projects. Besides BTC and ETH, all ALTS are at risk of not reaching a new ATH in the new cycle, which means failing to attract users and capital flow from the market. However, with the maturity of blockchain technology, projects like Cardano, BNB chain, Solana, Avalance... can continue to serve user needs better over time, have real-world use cases and native token prices will continue to increase in the long run thanks to the support of demand from users in the ecosystem.

I'm not really sure about this, as history has proven the opposite. In the top coins of the bullrun 2017, many coins were considered failures when they failed to achieve impressive growth in the bullrun 2021: BCH, XRP, LTC, MIOTA, XEM, DASH, XMR. Only BTC, ETH and ADA continue to exist in a strong way and are supported by the community.

This could also happen to the current top coins, including BNB, SOL, XRP, DOGE, ADA. The crypto market is constantly evolving, only BTC and ETH will always be the cryptos that receive attention and money flow from investors. Other ALTS will face many risks associated with innovation in the market.

All your coins holding are old and have the similar coins with my holding LTC, I don't know how potential with this old coins will make new ATH above $300 or still drop under $100 currently LTC price on $81. I don't know how most loyal with holding LTC and all my portfolio around 70% dominance by holding this coins.
Another old coins hold currently is Matic, have been one month price stuck and difficult raise up to $1 after last moment bitcoin get crash, keep hold old coins and wish the altcoin season will come in short term and make us take profit as soon possible after long term holding with old coins.

These are the best for now and the new coins that coming to the ecosystem are the zombies in the space because they are wandering around without platform and looking for whom to devour. Holding old coins are much more secure and danger free than the newbies in the cryptocurrency ecosystem. I am holding three coins now except Ethereum and Solana because of their transaction fees. But once it reduces then I look invest in them to see if the are good to invest.

What you've said is correct, but holding on to old coins doesn't actually guarantee profits in the long run, there are old coins that are currently at the verge of a crash and obtaining them or holding on to them right now could still be considered being zombie hunted .
The crypto space is very uncertain and nothing is sure. The old coins only offer investors an advantage of longevity, because they've stayed for longer time in the market, you'll be able to predict that they've become a solid investment, meanwhile being solid still doesn't guarantee profitability.
Therefore, whether old or new tokens, one should conduct an extensive research before deciding to purchase any token either for the short-term or the long-term.

I think many people have almost the same strategy as you, where the main coin BTC is the main investment, while the meme coin which has recently generated large profits, is used as additional income. Yes, we really can't expect much from assets with high volatility, even if we get a profit, we have to be grateful... and if we don't make money from trading memecoin, at least we don't have to regret it.

The oldest coin I own is also Bitcoin, but I'm not interested in diving into the world of meme coins at the moment. Maybe in the next few weeks I will start thinking about it when the bullish moment arrives.

Everyone has a strong belief in bitcoin investment and the reason is not only that it is an old coin but the reason is that it is elevating in its worth as the time passes. Not only you but everyone is buying Bitcoin little by little because no one has such a great amount to buy a whole Bitcoin in just a single day.

Meme coins are risky and you should invest little in them but if you are considering meme coins as successful as that of bitcoin then this is not a good step but still there are some possibilities that meme coins can give you profit but not all the time and you can also lose if meme coins become scam.

Yes it is not all the old coins profitable but it is still good to invest in old coins because they have been in the space for years so there is this mindset that they can do well one day and it will not collapse but the new projects are not like that you will have faith in the them because many came and don't stay long.

BTC and ETH are special exceptions due to their advantages that no new token can have. BTC is the first crypto, still using POW, has the most decentralized and secure network on the market. ETH is the first ALTS to use smart contracts and lead the development of blockchain technology. I think they always deserve to be in the portfolio, account for a large part of the investment capital and ensure that investors will have profits in the bullrun. We don't need to compare them to new coins because they have their own value and position in crypto market.
