I understand that its not looking like we are going to end up with a bit of a bad period and that's why people are worried, there is nothing wrong with that and I understand the situation. However, we need to make sure that we are dealing with something nice here, its not going to be all that simple if we are careless about it, so we need to make sure that price could still go up. If you react like its going to end up with a terrible result at all times, then you are not going to profit from it when the price goes up, you should try to do your very best no matter how much bad hand you are given in the end.

Unfortunately, Wasabi, like many other mixers and coinjoiners, had one inherent and fatal flaw - It ran a centralized coordinator. It was not decentralized at all.
I understand your criticism towards Wasabi wallet, but why are you wasting so much time on them?
Wasabi is still a privacy tool, we need that, and there are much more centralized things in bitcoin ecosystem right now, for example Lightning Network.
I didn't see you criticizing LN that is basically a failed project that was never adopted by majority of bitcoin users, and it has constant problems.
We could also criticize Bitcoin developers for not enabling any protocol change that would improve privacy, for example mimble-wimble was proposed few years ago.

Gambling discussion / Re: what is the impact of gambling on students?
« Last post by bitbit97 on Today at 08:47:52 PM »
Yeah gambling can actually have a disastrous impact on a student's life, both academically and socially.
When a person becomes too used to gambling and suddenly develops the inability to control their emotions when gambling, then addiction sets it, and gambling addiction comes with a lot of things, from financial problems to mental health problems and then social problems and so many more, and if a student (regardless the age or level of education) starts to develop these symptoms, then it will definitely become veey harmful for them because they won't be mentally balanced to be able to do on the academic activities.

This happens only in some parallel universe. Among millions of students how many are really gambling addicted? Several thousands? That is nothing in matter of statistics. Students are busy doing all kind of stuff, and I doubt that many focus so much on gambling, that it has a significant impact on their study and grades. As you make an imaginary chain of what can happen in future gambling>addicted gambling>bad grades>expelled>low paid work>no future>health problem, then there is no use to go out from the house at at all because, for example, you can get hit by car, robbed, object can fall on the head and etc.

Leave students alone. That is their first experience of grown-up life. Let them have their own experience, bad and good. Let them do their own mistakes and solve them. Otherwise we will have army of «mama’s boys» .

Basic questions about this forum / Re: How do I delete my post?
« Last post by Aanuoluwatofunmi on Today at 08:46:29 PM »
You can make this by either contacting a moderator for deleting your post, some of them would have even realized for that if they saw that you already have made a repeated post, you can use your ALLT token to purchase the rank to enables you do that, and if the worst be, you should only go to the post, edit it and empty the contents and save it, the thread would have been there bit anyone seing it will see an empty thread.

Indeed, their aim in recruiting many star players is to make their popularity even more known. And they managed to achieve all that, now many people are paying attention to the SPL because of their movements in the transfer market which brought in many players.

Now their job is to try to maintain it, I mean don't let this just be a short-term program. It's a shame that this only happened for 2 or 3 seasons, after that they sank again. And I think this is their real job.
I don't know well Saudi Arabia club financial will happen like Chinese Super League teams? before many top European players accepting offer from Saudi Pro League team with fantastic of payment salary did early by Chinese Super League and many of top talented European players moving there. But Chinese Super League only existing few season only and get problem with their financial.
I don't sure until how many years Saudi Pro League teams keep existing with fantastic payment salary receiving by top European players.
It's actually true that the Chinese Super League attracted so many European players with their mouthwatering offers and that really affected their financial, and that should ordinarily serve as a cautionary story, but we need to also consider that there's a huge difference between the CSL and Saudi Pro League and there are so many factors that suggests that the SPL may actually be a lot more sustainable than the CSL in the long term.

First of all let's consider the fact that SPL's financial backing is coming from a more diversified economy whose attentions are more focused on economic development and investment in diverse sectors which I believe is different from the CSL.

Bitcoin Forum / Re: Phoenix Wallet to be removed from US app stores

Why are they worried about non-custodial wallets so much, and why did Coinbase exchange suddenly added support for Lightning Network?
As if regulators want for people to only use their ''approved'' services, so they can control where and when you are sending each sat  ::)
I was never a big fan of Lightning Network and it probably going to be even more centralized than it is now...

There are always certain criteria and Binance must have reasons and can prevent it from being able to carry out transactions in its place. It is clear that those who trade there are, of course, with good intentions, although there are quite a few who misuse it, but it is certain that many more are for good purposes. Of course, there will be mechanisms that can be implemented by Binance for abuse that deviates from the rules made by Binance.

I don't think there are many people who actually use Binance to launder money. At the same time that Binance detects the slightest suspicion of any illegal act, that user's account is immediately blocked and the entire transaction history along with the user's data would be immediately sent to the police or appropriate department.

I don't think anyone (unless they make a mistake) would be stupid enough to use a centralized exchange like Binance (or any other high-volume exchange) to commit criminal acts. Normally the people who do these things use other means for these acts, not exchanges that have exhaustive control and that can reveal their identity in a short time.

I am waiting to make my consolidations at 1 sat vB. I think we will reach it in a few months. I have no hurry, I can even consolidate them next year.
You are still waiting for this?  :o
No problem if you continue to do so, but I think this is silly, it's not like you are centralized exchanges with million utxo to consolidate.
I am very confident that we won't see 1 sat/vB in 2024, but sub 10 sat/vB will happen when things cool down.
It simply is not profitable for miners to have such low fees especially after halving.
