vs2014 the question you asked seem to be very impossible, and I recommend you ask questions which seems a bit realistic. Bitcoin with all the height it has attained and the codes used in programming, it will be very difficult for it to return back to that amount. But if such happens, the entire crypto market will be a victim of this shock because, more than half of the coin in the crypto network increases when Bitcoin pumps and dumps when Bitcoin dumps, so if such happens the entire market will experience a bearish movement and the trust it has built will reduce to a very minimal level. But such situations are only opportunity to buy more and wait for the price to pump again.

People only in the internet are so brave and say they will hold for years. In reality, by the time they see 10-30% profit, they rush to sell.

This is because 99% of people who buy Bitcoin don't buy it because they believe in it, they buy it in the hope of selling it higher and being rich in fiat, not in BTC. So they are impatient.

HODLing is like riding a rollercoaster with cryptocurrency, and it's hard when we are emotionally invested.
But when we know where we are heading, holding is much easier.

A lot of people have primitive thinking. They live with past. They want price to go down, because they know it always grow back. They always want to return to past, to because they know in future (nowadays) it will be a success. I have different approach. I want to go to future, and compare it with now. What if it better to buy now, because in few years it will be $1kk. And waiting price to drop to $5k is a waste of a chance.

Speaking about how I will feel if price drop so low? I would feel disappointed. With such drops, mass adoption isnt possible, it will always be «someday».

Yes, you want to buy as many bitcoins as possible. I understand perfectly. Who stopped us from doing at a price of $16,000 for 1 btc? Right now, the price is over $40,000 - that would be a colossal return. 

Don't worry, there will be plenty of opportunities to make money in the market. Analyze - and maybe someday you will find an analog. Who thinks we'll see a price of 50 thousand dollars for 1 bitcoin before the end of the year? It's too early to say, about 5k.

$5k is really unrealistic mark to drop at this point. i don't think bitcoin will ever fall back to $5k anymore. those times long gone. maximum it can drop is $20k. which is is also very unlikely.
But as you asked. lets assume if it does Reach to $5k then what would I do.
I would obviously convert all my other assets to Bitcoin. and try my best to earn more Bitcoins from anywhere I can. and then wait for it to come back to $50k or $100k. and then sell my coins. LOL that sounds  like a funny dream.

When Bitcoin price gained 19k in 2018, no one believed the priced would go down to 3,5k. But with current price, indeed it is unreal for the price to drop that low. Imho it can happen or it will mean only if it would be the end of Bitcoin. Such drop definitely gonna shake faith in crypto.

Also I think that a lot of business processes are now connected with Bitcoins high price. Funds, business wont allow for price to fall so low. It is us, who are familiar with crypto, now that price always recovers. Other investors, who just give money to brokers and wait for profit, when they find out price is falling, it is going to be collapse for them. That is why Bitcoin will be saved from such drop.

No man, I would never wish for that to happen because if that happens then the whole crypto market will face a huge crash and all of the coins will lose their value.

It'll be a horrible thing and it will take years for the recovery of the market. I also think that most investors will give up on crypto-currencies altogether and the CBDC's will enter the market.

I think I would have the same feeling when it happened during the pandemic. "I should've taken advantage of the price going down" and then selling up. It's just that feeling you know but of course, buy and buy more of it would be nice at a discounted rate.

It is easy to just imagine a  good entry point and expect own self to invest as much as possible at low prices if available in future. But in reality when the prices go down so much all of sudden, even the big investors will get scared to invest in Bitcoin. There will be fear in mind that what if Bitcoin collapses completely. I know this is not going to happen but if prices go from 40000 to 5000 in short time, that fear of complete collapse will come in every mind. At that point, you will not be in position to think about increasing your Bitcoin holding. You may even be ready to get rid of all Bitcoin and crypto you have even in big loss.

Personally I feel that Bitcoin will not go below to $30000 price level ever. Now Bitcoin ETFs are approved and there will be some stability in the price of Bitcoin.

It is normal for Bitcoin holders to be emotional at times and think like this. The price of Bitcoin was not very high even in 2017. If there was an idea about Bitcoin, maybe ordinary investors like us would have tried to buy at least a Bitcoin. But we cannot assume that that chance will be in reality again. Rather, over the time, investment is increasing and the number of investors are also increasing, which is why the demand is also increasing, so how can we expect Bitcoin to reach that $5000 again? As there is no use in such imaginary thinking. So if we follow DCA and collect bitcoins and try to hold it for long term then we can definitely increase our bitcoin portfolio.

Regardless of ETFs its still very possible for bitcoin to go below 30k as we are not so much away from that now. I remember during last bull run when bitcoin was over 60k people were saying that we won't see it below 40k ever again, and we all know how that ended up.

Regarding OP's question, I think that  many of those who claim they woulld be buying bitcoin as if there's no tomorrow if price goes back to 5k but in reality vast majorify of them would be scared shitless and would think that bitcoin is dying.

I have nothing much to say here, and this is because it is expressly not possible for bitcoin to dump back to $5000, this is not possible even if binance (the largest cryptocurrency exchange in the world) shuts down, it's still not possible for bitcoin to dump back to as low as $5000, this is because I personally believe that bitcoin have grown past the level it should experience such a significant loss in price.

If bitcoin ever dump to this amount, it simply means that bitcoin is possibly dead, which also means that all the big institutions and cooperations that invested big in bitcoin have all sold and left, the chance of bitcoin ever recovering again after dumping to such a ridiculous price is very slim, if not impossible.

Well everyone who has held btc definitely does not want this to happen. Because this will only destroy all Hodler. But logically it's hard to happen. Because we can see the Marketcap of the bitcoin market is very high. To make BTC go down to 5k would require all whales dumping their btc and all institutions dumping their btc and other large holders doing the same and leaving only small holders who don't know that btc is going down.

You are partly right, now is the best time to invest in cryptocurrency, I also bought some different coins now and I think the same as you, it is strange of course that now anyone sells before the market crash, but not everyone understands this and there are many newcomers who do not want to understand or someone who does not want to wait and just trades one day.
