Is plagiarism discouraged on this forum?

well of course plagiarism is not a good thing, it is kind of a stealing.
just a second ago, I read the last 3 threads of the a member, which were exactly copied and pasted from btt - different members' threads on btt -
I am not sure if we should be giving these people - karma or not?

I would say if this member was the same member on the other forum, yes it is his/her work and writing so why not? maybe he/she just wants to share opinions more on ATT. However because the threads belong to different members on the other forum, I feel like this member can be doing this only to increase post count.

However because the threads belong to different members on the other forum, I feel like this member can be doing this only to increase post count.

I am putting a complain filing method:
1- if you see any post plagiarized from btt , pm the btt member
2- only the said member can contest,
3- he can create an account on altt with same name as on his btt, he will verify that with a small step.
4- then he posts a reply to the plagiarized topic, with this text " contesting plagiarism", then he reports the topic and provide link to his original post

then he will be contacted by me or someone else with options to consider

I like this complain filling method. Is a clever way to fight plagiarism and increase members amount in AltcoinsTalks. Great move, Admin.

As for now plagiarism is not yet prohibited as we are on the process of improving this forum. I do believe in just a year or maybe a couple of years this forum will goes to strictly the unnecessary things.
