I dunno about a scam but I don't like how disruptive this hard fork was to the market when it was released.  I like that it's asic resistant but its  obviously open to 51% attacks.... I think really the only reason it has worth is people talk nice of it because they all got some for free, but what kind of realistic use case does this serve?  especially just being a replicated form of bitcoin.

Hello altcoingamer ,

Yes people say good things because they received free . Otherwise everyone would say it's a scam.

For most cases, it may be pretty obvious what a scam is - but with bitcoin gold, things become murkier. Bitcoin itself is an unregulated form of currency that essentially is a mere number that is only given value because of an agreement. It's basically like a moneybag with a lock on it - the code of which is given to the recipient of the bitcoin gold(an analogy drawn by Forbes in 2017).

As far as I know Bitcoin Gold is not a scam coin. It's just that this Bitcoin Gold coin doesn't have a good market volume like Bitcoin Cash. So that's why this coin is often called a scam.

I have been mining BTG on Genesis Cloud mining https://www.genesis-mining.com/a/2284361 and it has been paying out a dream. Only a small contract and paid off in 3 months, into profit now.

Crypto Bittrex Exchange will remove Bitcoin Gold (BTG) on September 14 after hacking the $ 18 million BTG network in May, The Next Web reported September 3.

Founded in 2007, the Bitcoin Gold cryptocurrency has experienced a "double-spending" hacking attack which reportedly allows unknown hijackers to control more than 51 percent of BTG hashrate. The attack, which reportedly began on May 18, 2018, has raised more than $ 18 million in Bitcoin Gold from various exchanges, including Bittrex.

I cannot argue more about why Bitcoin Gold is a good hard fork coin because I never believe that they're a big joke or a fake coin or a scam.
I believe Bitcoin Gold has a good future and so as Bitcoin Cash.
Bitcoin Cash was pumped last late October this year and look at it now, the price is stable and even moving to the right upper of the graph.
So, just in case if they manipulate or pump Bitcoin Gold like what happened in Bitcoin Cash then that's a good thing.

Unfortunately, the more popular bitcoin becomes, the more scammers it attracts

It's the truth. If you do not want to lose money, it is enough to find a deal with guaranteed security

Today it is very difficult. You need to read a lot of reviews and other information. New projects are completely devoid of trust

There is an easier way to avoid losing money than searching for reviews. For example, projects that trade through W12 w12.io (https://tokensale.w12.io/ru/?utm_source=psv&utm_medium=altcoinstalks&utm_campaign=altcoinstalks.com/index.php?topic=27723.msg319372#msg319372) have a guarantee of security, you can not worry about your money.

Via all of statistics I have collected from biggest exchanges and assumptions about the amount of BTC in free holder, by which I mean they keep BTC in cold wallets, etc. There are likely 240.000 BTG in total. And, of course, you can check this number by yourself. It looks like that developers of the project has sold all of their BTG. That's very hilarious, weird, and of course, bloody drama I ever seen.

I'm still making money on BTG, mining with Genesis (I can give a link if anyone wants one).

I hold half and put the other half to trade.

Cheaters impersonate the official website page for free Bitcoin Gold (BTG) claims on Bitcoin Classic (BTC) Wallet.
More than $ 3.3 million has been stolen from the Bitcoin Gold Wallet (BTG). Fraud that causes Bitcoin Gold (BTG) wallet holders to lose funds in their wallets, implying that the official website page for the free Bitcoin Gold (BTG) claim on the Bitcoin Classic (BTC) Wallet when Hardfork Bitcoin Gold is made. Hardfork is a network separation on Bitcoin Core, thus creating a new Altcoin called Bitcoin Gold (BTG).

Bitcoin scams have been famously criminal and public in nature. With no bank as a middleman in exchange, things become more complicated; so hackers and con men have had a heyday.

Bitcoin gold is not a scam. It is a well-intentioned hard fork proposed to decentralize Bitcoin’s mining authority.
It will be used in coming years as a test bed for Bitcoin  among other things.

Bitcoin Gold is the choice of many other altcoins in the world of crypotcurrency.
If Bitcoin is stronger in price then Bitcoin Gold is also strong in staying on the market because as far as I know Bitcoin Gold is removed from the Bittrex Exchange and now it still stands in the top 50 coinmarketcap.

Bitgoin Gold results from Hardfork Bitcoin.
So Bitcoin Gold also has hopes or relatives from Bitcoin.
These two coins are almost interrelated, only different Explorer and the #DevelopmentTeam .

Bitcoin is the actual gold of crypto currencies, Bitcoin gold is the hard fork of bitcoin and it just needed a name, and thats why it had that name. As time goes on, you'll know the real gold of crypto currencies.
It is backed by people because they received it freely, and it gave some amounts of profits to them, nothing much about BTG.

Bitcoin Gold is a scam but Bitcoin Gold is a Coin that needs further development by the #DevelopmentTeam .
Because I see Bitcoin Gold removed from the Bittrex Exchange and that's a sign that Bitcoin Gold needs development and renewal.

I think you are wrong if you say that bitcoin gold is a scam, the coin has only decreased in price, and I strongly believe that it will recover.
