Holding altcoin 2-3yrears

Is it advisable to keep altcoin up to that year. Because most of them have been dying. Take a look at dogecoin, before it was 250sat but now it is lower than 50sat. It is said to say, but I think it may happen to other cryptos, some are without volume and this makes them bleed a lot

It is  quite unfortunate that most coins were just punp and dump projects, and that is one of the reasons the prices of these coin does not come back after a dip, i think it is better to hold for at least 2 to 3 years to see the performance  of some of them. As me, i like to hold for 4years before selling. However, holding for  long time does not guarantee the rise of some of these coins but i give some trials to see how they perform.

I think of it as 3 positions: Tether/USD, Bitcoin, Altcoins... altcoins are out of position 2 of every 3 times... and not only will you not gain in these positions, you'll start losing to slippage.. I think Bitcoin is a safer bet if you just want to hold something (or from ICO price if you're extremely lucky).   Alts are just not going to do well and keep most of their gains between moon cycles and slippages.

We're in a bloodbath right now. It is normal to see some coins in free fall

But keeping coins several years is a bet.
Imagine you keep an altcoin for 3 years and one year after, this altcoin dies (scam project ect...).
I have one project in my head : Titanium.
Many people kept this coin and now, they lost a lot of $

Personnaly all i invested i consider it like lost.
And i prefer wait 2 years and see what's happen.

Holding altcoins for 2-3 years is long enough for me and I'm not that greedy to wait for mooning because many project will die after the pumps and dumps. I will only base on my target profit and for me long term investment is not profitable with the current market situation.

I dont think you should hold a coin for more than a year. Some of the coins depreciate in value after a year and you might lose your money you initially invested with.

I consider 2-3 years too long term, it is not known what can happen with the altcoins during this time. I try to sell altcoins during their strong growth.

I dont like the idea of holding coins even for a year the longest period I can hold is just 5 to 6 months and most of the cons lost their values eventually so if I can it to have values even if it's just a few cents higher when I bought it i disposed it as long as it can cover the trading fees. I just need a small profit from those coins. waiting longer for me means losing too

I guess it is not always advisable for there is a possibility that it goes to 4-5 years for there are instance that holding for 2-3 years is not good for the coin you had is shitcoin. So it depends on your coins.

2-3 is not long at all.I think the main problem in crypto is that the people have no patience, if you want something strong have so faith and wait.

There is no rules for holding coins.. you can be lucky and after 3 years your coin can be 1000% or unlucky.. this is a bad period for many altcoins but when market will be bullish again everything will rise soon and fast.. personally I'm holding everything

Risky to hold and risky to sell. Whether you like it or not we can't guarantee of profit for holding 2-3 years because the pattern of price does not say hold for 2-3 years and I will definitely rise. I suggest watch the roadmap and the activities of the project to maintain alert and aware about the team.

It should be base on the market value for no point to hold the coins if it wasn't on the exchange and no volume. It depends on the kinds of coins you hold before making a decision to hold.
