I think that protecting yourself from scams is the task solely of the person himself. You cannot rely on the law in this matter. Even if cryptocurrency is not in a grey area, it remains a fairly vast field with blurred boundaries, and legislation is not able to adapt to it so quickly. Even if the law requires that scammers be prosecuted, it could take years. And after such a time, the result may no longer be relevant. Therefore, it is a personal responsibility to avoid scammers and improve your personal security.

Yeah, I understand this, but I think in some cases, we need government intervention to punish scammers in the market, especially when we have enough evidence. In 2017-2018, a $660M crypto scam took place in Vietnam, the victims had enough evidence but could not put the scammers in jail because the law could not yet identify the crypto/token is money, property or goods.

Perhaps right now the scammers are enjoying a luxurious life somewhere, while the victims are still paying off their debts for the rest of their lives.

I hope our government will have a clear legal framework and a low crypto income tax of less than 10%, which will help the government have more budget to continue promoting blockchain technology in Vietnam.

Checked it and it's still the same, there's no follow updates of the team too, well, they don't have official rep here so.. This is really a huge drawback to those who wants full privacy when dealing mixers especially mixtum's clearnet website is using cloudflare.

I think they might be having some hosting related issues with their tor mirror, and I believe they'll fix it soon. Mixtum has been on the picture for a long term and they really care about the privacy of their users. I believe they might be working in background to solve that issue and they may have their tor mirror up and running once again.

A large number of mixer users use TOR exclusively, I would not say that in the case when the onion site does not work, they switch to the clearnet site. Especially if there is serious competition.
The losses are certainly noticeable, which is why it is unusual that the onion site has been offline for so long.

You're right mixer users give more priority to Tor usage and they always use the Onion side of a mixer. Those users who use clearnet site often don't mix huge amounts and that's why it's mandatory for Mixtum to check and fix their Onion site as soon as they possibly can. I'm sure that Mixtum team might find these posts and try their best to fix out their onion site.

From my personal observation, I would not agree that this is exactly the case, and somehow it seems to me that Tor is not something that most of those who use mixers are familiar with. From what I've observed over the years on the BTT forum, very few members use Tor because it's too slow for them, or they simply don't know that it's a regular browser like all other browsers with the exception that it's focused on privacy.

I don't know why MixTum hasn't fixed his onion page for so long, but maybe it has something to do with the case of an alleged scam that happened to another mixer, and a malicious tor exit node is also mentioned as a potential cause. I already wrote before that I don't think the point is that they can't do it, but that they have a good reason why that version of the site doesn't work.

I myself used to Mix BTC but only used Clearnet instead of Tor. I understand that we have to trade speed for better anonymity on the Internet, but think Mixer has secured that for my BTC. Maybe Tor helps mask my IP but that's not too important for me personally, maybe it's a problem for others.

Anyway, I hope MixTum teams will solve this problem soon. Users have different needs and MixTum's mission is to maintain its services to serve the needs of users to compete with other BTC Mixers services. I think a reasonable reason from the MixTum team will help users feel secure and be more patient.

The main essential characteristic of mixers is precisely the provision of anonymity and untraceability. Of course, users will strive to ensure this anonymity in every possible way, and using an anonymous browser will be their priority, in my opinion.

You're probably right, although sometimes we come across cases of people who had a lot of BTC and lost it in a rather bizarre way, so I wouldn't say that those who have more BTC are those who value their privacy more. I think that the feeling for privacy is not something that is closely related to BTC, but still depends on how much someone values privacy in their life.

There are people who do not allow anyone to peek into their private life, and there are those who live their private life without any problems in front of the cameras in various reality shows.

You'd be surprised how much people pay attention to every detail when it comes to privacy. I would say that mixer users are definitely very privacy-oriented.
Even a large number of forum users use the TOR browser as their primary browser, I believe that they will avoid going to the clearnet just to mix coins.

Yeah, I agree. Professional crypto users will optimize every feature to protect their privacy, and I respect their wise decision. Tor is a good option, but it's often too slow for my comfort, so I choose to use VPN for my work.

Let's wait for the return of MixTum onion link or an official announcement from MixTum team about this problem.
