I just came across this news about a Brazilian company that now accepts 3 cryptocurrencies (BTC, BCH and LTC) to book their tickets. The payment method is quite simple, just with a code in a screen, no complex technologies nor terminals. It is unclear how they handle network congestion and how many confirmations are required.
This is the source
I also seem to recall that there is an airport in Australia accepting crypto and at least one airline, but I don´t remember which one.
If anyone from Brazil could comment on this news it would be nice.

This is very good news I hope that soon it will be around the world :D
-
In terms of Cryptos that is a good news and also this will increase crypto's adoption. I hope similar news keeps coming.
-
Now it looks comical. I introduced a cryptotrader who is on the bus. But the more such practices, the sooner the situation will change.

I always thought blockchain could be great for payment systems with buses/subways/high-speed rails... glad to see this being implemented, and hope its used more in the future.. especially with ticketing.. I'm so scared to use my card in those machines inside subway stations.

This is an interesting article I read a while back, and I'm sure more companies have now been added to the list.
https://99bitcoins.com/who-accepts-bitcoins-payment-companies-stores-take-bitcoins/
The airline could be one of many that have started accepting crypto as a form of payment - https://thepointsguy.com/guide/airlines-otas-accepting-bitcoin/
The airport could be Brisbane - https://www.ccn.com/australia-bound-brisbane-airport-accepts-cryptocurrencies-world-first/
And the bus company looks like it is actually two companies, Brasil Sul and Viação Garcia - https://news.bitcoin.com/passenger-bus-companies-brazil-cryptocurrencies/
By this time next year, I'm sure there will be thousands more.

Buying it at terminals is ok, but it won't work in buses otherwise there will be long queues and the buses will get delayed. I'm surprised it is brazil and not venezuela that is accepting crypto as payment
-
This is really good and i hope the plans to use crypto payment in bus will become realitybecause this is very helpful too many people who did not bring fiat money in their pocket.

This is already happening in France, Germany and Japan in which you can buy your advance booking in their offices and you may pay the ticket using Bitcoin as an payment option but anyway this is good because everyday there is always progress in favor of Bitcoin which is much needed to make the current market performance to become strong and stable.
