Match Day 9

Fixtures:
Quote
Nov. 7
Elche vs. Celta Vigo
Huesca vs. Eibar
Barcelona vs. Real Betis

Nov. 8
Sevilla vs. Osasuna
Atletico Madrid vs. Cadiz
Getafe vs. Villareal
Real Sociedad vs. Granada

Nov. 9
Levante vs. Alaves
Valladolid vs. Athletic Club
Valencia vs. Real Madrid

Barcelona still not in their best form as you can see in their last match and in the current standings. Betting on Real Betis (6.71) or a draw (5.1) money lines aren't bad deals. Odds are from Bitsler (https://www.bitsler.com/en/sports/soccer/spain/laliga/23360481-fc-barcelona-vs-real-betis-balompie)

As always, check on them first before placing your bets. Good luck!

Yeah. For sure Barcelona will be back with their big names as well. It's hard for me to bet for Real Betis. Instead of i will surely choose Draw or Barcelona. I am expecting to draw the match. Let's see what will happen!

Real Madrid is defeated by Valencia. It is a big score, 1-4.
What's wrong with Real Madrid? I think they have a problem with accuracy and the defense line today. How can 16 shots, 4 on target, but only results in 1 goal? While the opponent, Valencia, they only made 7 shots, 4 shots on target, but they can have 4 goals. It is really sad to see this as a Madrid fan.

Real Madrid's 4-1 defeat meant that fans' confidence in Zidane's abilities decreased...
Many have even suggested that Zidane be replaced with another coach. But I think the problems that occur with Real Madrid are not because of the coach, but rather the quality of the players because currently there are very few quality players at Real Madrid.

It's normal to have these reactions from the fans after humiliating losses like this one. The problem is on the whole team and can't just be blamed on the players or the coach. Strategies are on the coach while execution are on the players.

Zidane has achieved so much already as coach of RM winning multiple titles in CL and then in La Liga. Real is still in the contention for both leagues. If they get knocked out of the CL group stage, they'll have more time to prepare in La Liga matches.

It was a Real Madrid performance that manager Zinedine Zidane admitted was "difficult to explain" as his side slumped to a 4-1 defeat by Valencia on Sunday. News: https://edition.cnn.com/2020/11/09/football/valencia-real-madrid-la-liga-spt-intl/index.html

right, the coach couldn't be faulted more...
football is a Team game, so blaming the coach for defeat is stupid. btw tomorrow Madrid will vs Villarreal, I support Madrid.

Match Day 10

Quote
Nov. 21
Osasuna vs. Huesca
Levante vs. Elche
Villarreal vs. Real Madrid

Nov. 22
Sevilla vs. Celta
Atletico Madrid vs. Barcelona
Eibar vs. Getafe
Cadiz vs. Real Sociedad

Nov. 23
Granada vs. Real Valladolid
Deportivo vs. Valencia
Athletic vs. Real Betis

Nov. 21, Despite leading on the table and playing at home, Villarreal is still the slight underdog against Real Madrid (odds at 2.79 and 2.41 respectively). I would probably go for RM as well on this match as I expect them to bounce back after that embarrassing loss in match day 8. I'll wait for the line up. I have no input on other matches.

To be honest, I wish the Spanish players could be given at least one more day to rest coming back from their international duty.

the Madrid vs Villarreal match will be very interesting...
Sergio Ramos is rumored to be absent from this match due to injury while playing in the UEFA Nation Liga, Villarreal will definitely take advantage of this moment.

^ Real Madrid currently leading 1-0 but there's still a lot of time for Villarreal to get even or turn the match around. I didn't place bet on this match as I find it too close to call. In hindsight, I should have done a Draw No Bet. Odds were pretty decent yesterday.

final score = draw...
a little disappointed with Madrid's performance this time, having lost several bets due to choosing Madrid.

soon there will be a big match, between Barca vs ATM, I chose ATM.

Madrid team is finding it hard to find consistency this season and it doesnt look good for zidane; This also applies to Barcelona, but to me, i believe that Barcelona is not getting the best out of their squads. Koeman cannot take that team to the next level

My favorite team of all my life has been Real Madrid and although it sounds silly I did not like it when they let Cristiano Ronaldo go, I would have liked to see Cristiano Ronaldo with Neymar and Hazard in attack, Barcelona have many problems, I think That team has been falling apart, so I think that now Real Madrid will shine.

You hit that with the "inconsistency". Maybe they had too much to play plus pandemic and injuries but even those aren't excuses for poor performances. To be fair to RM and Barca, Villareal and Atletico are not an easy opponents.

Only one match remains and I just blindly put my bet on Athletic Bilbao at 1.96.

Internal issues that occur at Barca certainly affect the performance of the players on the field. Barca's game this season is very different from the previous season.

I am not surprised if Barcelona can be defeated by Atletico Madrid. It is still lucky that they only get lost with 1 conceded goal only. Yesterday, I predicted Barcelona to be defeated at least with 2 conceded goals. We know that Barcelona played very badly lately, while Atletico Madrid never got losses so far.

That's exactly what it means.

You never really know what to expect with mid-table and lower teams that's why I said "blindly" but betting on them was the only win that I had last night ;D People who mostly bet on RM and Barca could get lucky on these matches too.

Thank you very much, well, sincerely I have always been a fan of Real Madrid and that in betting sometimes one gets carried away more by feeling than by anything else, however, Barcelona is great, it has Messi, it is a great reference, And he is not doing so badly, in the South American qualifiers Messi played very well, that gives Barcelona more consistency.

Whoever gambled on Alaves last night sure made some good money there. As for me, I skipped that match and went for the other Real (Sociedad) vs. Villareal which ended up in a draw. It was a tough match to call but I'm glad I was refunded of my bet.

The current top 3 slowly pulling away while RM slipping. Barcelona on the other hand is slowly climbing up.

But I am surprised by that result.
How can Madrid get defeated again with a small club. They must be careful, in the next matchday, Madrid will against Sevilla. Madrid never wins easily once they against Sevilla. I am rather worried about Real Madrid in the next match.

Today, La liga fixtures where a good one today with Madrid struggling to have goalscorers and relying on an Own goal to get 3 points aaway at seVilla. Zidane used a single substitution throughout the match; does it indicate a lack of trust?

Cadiz posted a meme yesterday about a possible win today against barcelona and they actually acheved this lol. Barca lost away at Cadiz 2:1.

Scorline in details.

FT Levante 3 - 0 Getafe
FT Sevilla 0 - 1 Real Madrid
FT Atletico Madrid 2 - 0 Real Valladolid
FT Cadiz 2 - 1 Barcelona

Really? Who said that, you or another one?
I think we cannot judge it is about the lack of trust. They may have many injured players, or Zidane thinks no needs to have a big change in the player composition. Who knows! But the most important thing is Madrid can win and get 3 points..  :D

I Made a subtle guess because the decision is shocking lol; if we consider the ages of modric and kroos; i wasn't expecting a whole 90minutes performance lol. But it paid off; as you stated, 3 points is all that matters. and Madrid got just that

Cadiz beat Barcelona for the first time in La Liga since 1991 as former Manchester City striker Alvaro Negredo scored a famous winner.

It was a first home win in the top flight against any opposition for promoted Cadiz since 2006 and takes them four points above Barcelona: https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/55199950

Sunday La Liga Action:

Granada 3 - 3 SD Huesca
Osasuna 0 - 2 Real Betis
Villarreal 0 - 0 Elche
Deportivo Alaves 0 - 0 Real Sociedad

The win for Real betis away from home takes them to the top half of the league standings (atleast above Barcelona who are 9th lol). Real Sociedad draw away from home keeps them in the second position; and with Atletico Madrid top of the league with 2 games unplayed; the League is definitely in their hands lol.

Villarreal missed a chance to reduce the gap at the top to 2 points by drawing at home to elche.

Go that this is historical, the fact that they are above Barcelona means that no matter how much Barcelona are not having a good time, I had already determined it long ago, apparently they are demonstrating it on the court, I remember when Real Madrid I was also like that, nothing came out well for them.

I felt bad for hesitating to bet live on this match. I really wish i took the chance for that over 4 odds.

Eibar vs. Valencia is last on the card. Who you got? Just 1 point separates the two but I think Valencia will get this. A draw is likely too. Good odds again for this two.

It is already minutes 90 and still no goals. I think the result will be a draw for them. Eibar plays very well, they have better ball possession and shoot more than Valencia did. Another draw result in the La Liga match for today. I don't know why many big teams have a bad performance.

Yeah, I kinda like Eibar too but their not efficient in front of goals. Unfortunately, fancy football means nothing if they can't score a goal and win. But they can keep playing that way as it is giving them results somehow. They won't be relegated.

With last weeks' results, I'm pretty sure many bettors lost money on the draws and the upset on Barcelona. I still regret my hesitation to bet on Real Betis but I'm glad I stayed away from La Liga and focused betting on Premier League instead.

Match day 13

Timezone: PST

Madrid Derby is going to be a mouth-watering match I assume. Both teams have secured their spot in the Champions League's round of 16 and it's time to settle who's the best team in Madrid.

Odds looks juicy for both:
RM - 2.4
AM - 3.12

I don't know about you but AM should be the favorite IMO. They are playing better at the moment. Both teams are more likely to score.

Barcelona should find it easy to defeat Levante and take advantage of the above Derby to close the gap.

It was a good game and brilliant performance by Madrid; but it further states The team reliance on some certain players, Madrid play better when they have a fit Ramos and Casemiro on the pitch. On the other hand, Zidane needs a goalscoring talisman as soon as ppossible.

Indeed, Real played very well yesterday. There were many chances to score they made and they really controlled the game. Trio midfielders of Madrid (Casemiro-Kroos-Modric) played amazing. We also need to appreciate how Courtois played, he saved some big chances for Atletico.

No, they got 3 points at home, against Levante. Yes, Barcelona only can make 1 goal at the match, but it is enough to have 3 points from that match. Well, Barcelona still has a problem to score, it is showed very clearly in this match, they only can make 1 goal. It is not a good sign for Barcelona.

Barcelona is coming of as a  huge favorite against the current top team Real Sociedad. It's definitely worth taking on the away team with odds at 4.85 and given that Barcelona has been struggling even at home.

Real Madrid at 1.53 while Athletic Bilbao at 6.35. Should be an easy win for RM.

Madrid are a goal up at home against bilbao with a goal from Toni Kroos. With Bilbao a man down, i expect madrid to get a full dominance and victory by winning 3-0.

Barcelona should see off real sociedad easily, sociedad has not scored more than 4 goals in 7 matches, and has drew their last 7 games too.

Interesting match between Eibar vs. Real Madrid. The home team isn't playing bad and they could steal a point. Other than this, I don't see any upset on top teams Atletico and Barcelona who managed to climb to 5th spot by the way. It won't be long before Real Sociedad will be dropped to the middle of the table.

I think the same, now we have to see how the squad is going to turn out, maybe the ones who are going to play will be the bench and the hard players will leave them resting, apart from that these guys have not done anything wrong, they deserve some rest and thus avoid possible injuries .

League leaders Atletico Madrid should have a comprehensive victory over Elche; by atleast 3 goals to 1.
Barcelona should get a draw at home to Valencia, While Levante has enough to have a home victory over Real Sociedad.

I watch EPL more, so i am unable to bring out much more previews in other leagues lol. With time i suppose i understand other leagues better

ATL 3 - Elche 1 with less than 10 minutes remaining. I was hoping the visitor to score first and change the odds but it never happened. There's no chance for an upset here.

Up next is Barca vs. Valencia. Like I said before, I don't see any upset but Valencia could score here. You might want to bet on BTTS which is currently at 1.6 (edit: 1-1 with plenty of time left in the second half, that would have been $60 bucks if you bet a $100 on BTTS).

Atletico Madrid has not done so badly, apparently Barcelona is recovering little by little, perhaps now it is in a phase of understanding, I remember when Barcelona had a game based on many passes, it unbalanced the teams a lot and they were champions for a long time, maybe that's the way.

There are plenty of games tonight with Real Sociedad vs. Atletico Madrid as probably the highlight.

Sociedad slump continues and what better way to gain their confidence back and reverse their bad luck than to win against the current team leading the table. I just don't know if they have enough players though because many are injured.

In the upcoming matchday, we will see Sevilla vs Villareal. I think this match will be difficult to predict, both teams are good teams with almost the same quality among their players. However, I think Sevilla will have a little advantage because they play at home. So, I predict Sevilla will win the match this time.  ;)

After a week long break in the Spanish La Liga; Action commences today.

Sevilla - Villarreal
Barcelona - Eibar
Cadiz CF - Valladolid
Levante - Betis

Can Barcelona defeat Eibar without Messi? Will Sevilla get the 3 points and improve on their bad form ?
Can Cadiz condemn Valladolid to the relegation battles with a win ?

What are your predictions for the match ?

Sevilla leads Villareal by one goal to nil as of this posting. These two teams aren't that far from each other team talent wise. Hmmm I'm still having that draw mindset from the Premier League and this could be another one of those.

Barcelona should take all three points. Eibar could pull a surprise late in the game though if Barca wouldn't bury the game early.

Sevilla 2 - 0 Villarreal
Barcelona 1 - 1 Eibar

Sevilla HOME win takes them up to 4th on the log while Barcelona struggle to draw at home against Eibar.

Another slip up by Barcelona and I'm glad I didn't place a bet on their match. I thought it was Sevilla vs. Villareal that could end up in a draw but it turns out it's the least expected Barcelona vs. Eibar.

Levante vs. Real Betis was an entertaining one. RB came close to snatching a point after Levante was reduced to 10-men. The score was unexpected though.

Title challengers Atletico and Real Madrid will be in action later on. I don't see any upset but I wouldn't be surprised if the Real match ends up in a draw.

Real I don't think there will be a draw, they have a very good run, however anything can happen, the draws were reused that very few expected, especially for Barcelona fans.

Oh boy I'm so glad I changed my bet on Real Madrid to DNB although the odds were very low. I would have lost my parlay if I had chosen them to win their match. I just had a gut feeling that they will struggle against Elche.

Funny how the Granada vs. Valencia match ended up. The total goals matched the number of red cards  ;D

Atletico Madrid marches on.

I was planning a parlay on Real Madrid and Tottenham (Premier League) but I was a bit late. I ended up up a Real Madrid and Arsenal instead. Although the odds were a bit lower than my original plan, I'm still glad to get my first win this year.

It's Atletico Madrid's time next. They should take the lead again after their match with Alaves. Hopefully, none of the players partied too hard during the New Year celebration.

You have made good bets and am sure you are on top of the world; as Arsenal has already thrashed West brom with 4 goals; all that is left is for Madrid is cruicfy Celta vigo and you can cash out. Big and good way to start the year believe me.

Real Madrid won again the match. I saw they have a bigger chance to win if they set Casemiro-Kroos-Modric to play together. I think Real Madrid really depends on them to create many chances to score. If they can play together, they can take the ball possession.

Well, in that sense I think that Hazard is a fundamental piece in Real Madrid, Isco is doing well, as a whole, Real Madrid has the best in attention, that is why as a team they have no excuse to lose, they have everything in the club .

I do not think Madrid has everything; but they have definitely been better with Isco and not Hazard: perhaps Madrid can get hazard firing, sign Mbappe and also a rb and a cdm; the squad will definitely be firing again.

Todays tie in the la liga will be between Celta Vigo - Villarreal
6 points seperate Villareal who is 5th from 8th placed Celta vigo; a win takes Villarreal to the top 4 mix while Celta vigo would remain mid table.

I see a draw here  Celta Vigo 2 - 2 Villarreal

^ Well a draw is likely but I'm a bit hesitant about the total goals. Maybe a 2 or 3 with both teams scoring at least 1. I might just skip this because these are the types of games that I prefer betting on live than pre-match but time is too late for me.

Villareal netted four goals in the first half against Celta Vigo and that moved them up to third. I'm glad I skipped that one lol. I would have lost the bet for total goals. I'm pretty sure the 1x2 odds dropped to as low as 1.01 for Villareal after 20 minutes.

Real Sociedad and Atletico Madrid will be in action later today. A draw for both matches is likely.

Sevilla - Real Sociedad
Postponed Atl. Madrid - Ath Bilbao
Granada CF - Barcelona
Osasuna - Real Madrid

Atletico Madrid now has 3 unplayed games as their tie against Atletico Bilbao was postponed to a later date due to a bad weather. But Atletico Madrid top of the league with 2 points.

Real Madrid has an opportunity to be top of the standings for the first time this season with a win away at Osasuna; while Barcelona will look to reduce the points deficit when they face Granada

Real Sociedad woes continues as they lost to Sevilla. That match was kinda fun to watch as they traded four goals in the first fifteen minutes. I haven't seen a match like that before.

Too bad Atl Madrid match was cancelled due to extreme weather condition. They will be forced to play three games in a short time to catch up with the rest of the leading team. That could be bad as the end of the season draws near.

It is bad for Real Madrid. They should get three points against Osasuna. They played full team, their best 3 midfielders played together, Benzema and Hazard were also there. I just checked the table and was surprised (not that much) that Barca is now level on points with Real Madrid sitting at second place due to goal difference. Atletico Madrid on the other hand has a double digit lead. That's pretty tough to cut down even for RM and Barca.

I'll update the table in the OP after the Real Betis and Osasuna match. I picked Real Betis by the way.

It's not like they have not prepared for it since their golden era. They knew one day Messi will leave the club either by retirement or transfer. Transition isn't easy and every team I know of has the same struggle. I think it was Sir Alex Ferguson who said that it takes at least 4-5 years to rebuild a team. He knows that very well because of how many teams he built in his almost three decades tenure ay Man U as manager.

Welp, who would have thought the title race would be close again. Seven points dropped by Atletico Madrid in their last four matches allowed Real Madrid to close the gap to just three points (potential of six). Barcelona could be joining the race too if they win their two catch up games.

The 14 match of the latest Spanish La Liga will be held on 20 November.
The two big clubs:
Barcelona vs Espanyol
Real Madrid vs Granada
I ma sure That Real Madrid can win the match.
But for Barcelona, this club is now facing very bad situation, for the coach, players, and also finance. So this may be difficult.

I rarely watch these football games, because I don't have a television in my house yet. As a result, I can't watch the channels of all the countries, and as a result, I don't watch football games in these leagues. But I would support the Barcelona team for Messi. We can also bet on this game.

Actually this is online era and we can use internet to browse certain platform where we can watch Football games form many countries and leagues.
And what? Messi for Barcelona? Come on, Messi is not in Barcelona anymore, he is in PSG right now. Barcelona is now very bad club because of many problems there. But fortunately, maybe it will be better again after the departure of Xavi as their new coach.

Here are the updated table standings of  Spanish La Liga 2021/2022.
Real Madrid still becomes the top standing with 39 score, far away from other clubs.
I am pretty sure that Real Madrid has the biggest chance to win this season.

The last match between Real Madrid vs Real Sociedad strengthen the position of Real Madrid with its score 2-0.
I ma also sure about Real Madrid to win the  season.
But, it is still early.
If we see the next match, it will be interesting between Real Madrid vs Atletico Madrid. But I bet for Real Madrid to Win. At least maybe will be 2-1 for Real Madrid  :D

Real Madrid has the biggest chance to win La Liga this  season. It can be seen from points in the standing. It is not  really as interesting as previous seasons moreover there seems like no El Classico.
Real Madrid vs Atletico Madrid?
Real Madrid also has the biggest chance todefeat Atletico.

You are right. If real Madrid really can show and also play very well as usual, this club will win from Atletico Madrid. Moreover if we see from the players draws, Real Madrid's players  seem greater. But let's see the next match because sometimes the match will be also  surprising.

The next exciting matches in La Liga (Matchday 27)

Real Madrid vs Real Sociedad

Real Betis vs Atletico Madrid

What is your prediction about these two matches, guys?
IMHO, Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid are still the favorite teams to win the matches. They have better squads and more experienced, both teams also need 3 points to secure their positions in the table. Real Madrid wants to keep their position as the leader on the table, while Atletico Madrid has the ambition to achieve UCL zone.  ;)
